I presume your local also.
Yes, 5 minutes from Oulton.
Woohoo. Join the local crew!
I could play matchmaker as I've met all of you

I've only ridden 6 times in 17 years, what are their excuses? smilewink

And you're all similarly slow wink
My excuse is a 3 year break from riding, and a 20 yr old bike with no driver aids, where all my awesome speed comes entirely from 400cc and pure riding talent.
Unlike some wink [Hello Loon! *waves*]

Haha. Loon just cheats.

I was only joking by the way wink I have very fond memories of my CBR400 and would love another for the track!
My mate destroyed a bike just like the one you pictured. Oops.

I can think of better 400's for the track than the CBR, unless you were going to modify the suspension and do some sort of power upgrade, bit costly though!

If any I would go for a ZXR or FZR, they probably offer more.
Is that what you would suggest?

I've not ridden them but from talking to people who have (and most of the other 400's), it sounds like the ZXR is the winner, in terms of size (tallest), power, speed, handling. But the VFR comes close, and I can vouch for its brilliance! My mate had the FZR, loved it, but missed the power of a bigger bike.

I essentially just want a bike to have fun on and used to love riding 400s, even when all my mates had bigger bikes they couldn't get rid of the pesky little thing.
Maybe its just rose tinted glasses though and I should go for power!!

A few pics from Mugello. What a circuit! Best place I've ridden round. Only bad thing was the heat! Feeling almost back to where I was before I crashed too which is a good thing biggrin

This was here testing too. Vyrus Moto2 bike. Was a work of art!

Completely out of proportion! Looks like a cartoon, just like that people do for no other reason than because they can smile

Dodgy?

My money would be on a bloke in a shed seeing if he could do it, and once he'd built it, lost interest.

Not my cuppa tea but seems there's a few similar been done, someone just posted a photo of a Fizzy with an RD400 on Facebook!

With the new system, you have to wait weeks for a replacement V5 before you can tax and ride though don't you?

That would do my head in.

No you can tax it immediately. I did mine the day I bought it, using the online system.
