Sharp...Would be even better if it was taken at 10pm rather than , what 7.45 now?

Was just after 8. Gets dark quick too, really should remember that before venturing out with no clear visor. ..

I passed that very spot going the other way yesterday afternoon before heading into the Lammermuirs. It has to be said that the road from Gifford over to Whitadder reservoir has recently been completely resurfaced in parts, top dressed in others and properly patched elsewhere. Nothing had been done about this road for years until now, although I'm sure that the Tour of Britain cycle race passing through had absolutely no bearing on the matter.

I absolutely love it. It hasn't been without it's complications. It's just come back from Triumph for two new front indicators, after my father in law managed to whack one and break the stalk where it comes through the fairing. Now I can just concentrate on riding it to the end of the season. I won't be using it over winter.

Use has been a mix of commuting and pleasure riding over B roads. My commute is relatively short and easy going, with the option of taking some nice B roads at the expense of a few miles and a few minutes over the usual D/C route. It handles nicely, it's low speed manners are quite manageable and it's wide, low and comfortable to sit on. The engine is just sublime too, with a flattering amount of punch wherever you are in the range, and what feels like a suitably mental top end to me.

The only thing left to do as the season comes to a close is to buy a battery conditioner and change the exhaust and map. Funnily enough the OBD cable came today, so I can get the race can on once I figure out how the remap works. Is there a brief guide anywhere I can read to give me the necessary pointers to do the job right?

Don't write off riding over winter. There are normally plenty of days when the weather will allow a nice blast. Just give it a could clean afterwards and everyone's happy.

Think there's a write up on Triumph Torque, it's fairly easy, I think even Loon could manage it, load up tune ecu, switch bike on, wait for bike to connect to tune ecu, load your desired map, write to ecu, reset tps, wait for tos light to go green, switch off bike, done! if you get stuck give me a shout.
