Whoops. Second day of riding her "big" bike, wifey goes into a corner too hot, locks the rear wheel up but manages to keep going (if a little off road). Lesson learnt, don't panic, keep calm and carry on. Well done!
I have to ask......1. Why would you post this on Youtube?? Seriously??
2. It seems Wifey is still a bit rigid & stiff and perhaps not all there in terms of bike control and confidence. One would hardly consider the entry speed "Too Hot"
So why ride around tight country lanes where there's terrible sight lines and hidden/blind corners and exits?? Considering her apparent lack of control & confidence, maybe riding somewhere where she'll have good line of sight and be able to concentrate on mastering the bike without worrying about what's around the next corner would be a better option?
Went for a late afternoon ride today with a localish section of The MV Owners Club. Now that the model range has expanded it probably going to be more common to see 7 MV's together and not an AA/GreenFlag/RAC man in sight.
It was 1 x F3 800 1 x F4 750, 1 x F4 1078 1x Brutale 1078 and 3 x Dragster 800 RR's

Its character building! In all seriousness she was doing great, the road is close to the house and indicative of the area. It was the only minor hiccup and the routes this weekend have been a mix of A-roads and occasionally dual carriageway. I am a terrible husband but not for today's reasons. :-)1. Maybe I'm old school, but I think just because YT exists, doesn't mean we need to post all our or our loved ones Faux Pas' up for the world to see or ridicule...But despite this, try to find somewhere that the Mrs can really get into bike control without worrying about traffic.
Riding is about mastering 2 disparate elements. Bike control and environment awareness. Once you've mastered bike control you can focus all your attention on environment management. Not good to mix the 2 when basic bike control is still iffy.
Sadly passing your test doesn't mean you can ride a bike.....

Definitely! I suggested that she ride for a a few weeks before a trip to the Ring (and only then a track-day not a TF). Joke, honestly. But despite this, try to find somewhere that the Mrs can really get into bike control without worrying about traffic.

In general, I do not disagree with anything you said. Except that her riding is quite good (considering) and this was a lack of concentration as we approached home, either way the hiccup was a learning experience for both of us.
