New lid for me

Working in a bike shop is nice sometimes. 10 minutes after it arrived I'd bought it and at a really good price.
Looks a stupid shape if you ask me.

I really like that. Would be interested to hear how it deals with buffeting, as that appears to be a big factor in the design(?)
It is awesome, I've already got a GT Air and an Arai Chaser V and this is much more stable. I wasn't expecting it to be noticeably different. I was expecting it to be a lot louder than my GT Air as well but it's actually quieter. I can hear the bike more because there is a lot less wind noise. It's a bit tight on the cheeks at the moment but should ease off once I've worn it a bit more.

Very nice.. I'm into my 20th year of riding all in Shoeis.. my mate is trying to tempt me into getting an Arai as I'm due a change.

I've currently got a XR1100 at the end of its life i.e. 5years+ and I was looking at switching to a XSpirit2 but they really just don't fit me in a 59large, the med is too small.

I was looking most recently at either a GT Air, NXR or Arai Chaser V Pro. Certainly the Chaser V Pro in Red can be had for a great price online, so strongly considering that.

Naturally the prices for XSpirit3s put them up with the Arai RX-7V, that is unless you're open to getting fellow BB regulars some good deals? wink

Yeah I've done a few ph'ers some good deals on kit. I can't always compete with Germany or Italy but will do what I can if I can't match them. Just drop me a pm with what you're after and I'll let you know what I can do.

Gorgeous. I bet that's an absolute rocket on the track, but depending on track layout and gearing it might feel (almost) slow - those straights go on forever!

Fitted a Dart screen to my Scrambler, makes a big difference on high speed roads!

I can't believe how tiny they are, here's a picture of my mates Scrambler next to my Blade, sitting on the Ducati it felt like a little 250.

Stuck an Akra can on my CB thou - ebay job, previous owner had it on his from new, said it was too noisy so took it off after 800 miles. Got the carbon shield to cover the cat too, all for a good price.

Bike feels and sounds a lot better!

Popped over to Bahrain to help run the Bahrain Superbike Championship over the weekend. The series is run on an arrive and ride basis and they use Panigale 899's.

Copy and repeat next weekend with the plan being I will be the championship Crew Chief next year.

Thanks. It is a handful at somewhere like almeria because it's quite tight but slow it isn't. I'm running the R gearing but it'll still do 175 plus.

Took the s1000r to Santa pod yesterday, there wasn't enough bikes there to make it interesting though.

10.5 best 10.8 worse, didn't realise until I watched the videos at home that the traction control was going mental so I was probably losing time through that.
