In preparation for our upcoming 12 day Euro Jaunt. Myself and Spareparts met at 9amm at Hughenden M40 Triumph and then did a loop through The Cotswolds and back to On Yer Bike and then on to home. 160 easy miles and only a few aches. So it should all be ok.

Had a great ride this afternoon and then realised that the whole stabe needed cleaning so some help was enlisted.

Gave the bike a clean and lube this afternoon. Would have liked to have gone for a ride but SWMBO had other ideas!

Gave the old girl a wash and polish. Then had a blast to Devils Bridge at Kirby Lonsdale and called in at Rivvy on the way back weather was gorgeous and it was getting very busy shortly after the pic.

Where as I didn't ride or clean my bike this weekend, but I have the previous 5 weeks running, i actually had a weeks fully dry commuting so it didn't get s***ty for once! I spent today watching motogp and then the rest of the afternoon outside enjoying the sun smile back on the bike 8am tomorrow

Came across this photo from an old article that Chris Pearson wrote when he tested my 750 Ducati Pantah.

I've had this for the past week and it's been interesting – it's reminded me that my new-to-me Multistrada is an incredible road bike. The 959 is a fantastic thing, but just… my god, it's hard work on a bumpy B road! Less bottom-end stonk but the small Superquadro thing is a great engine in its own right and revs so quickly compared to my Testastretta jobby. Also, it was delivered by Cal Crutchlow's dad, which was nice.

Had a weekend away with Mrs P in the Peak district, only her 3rd or 4th time on the bike since passing her test last December and the first of any distance(around 180 miles , no motorways), shes doing well , the endless 40 and 50MPH speed limits suited her ability/pace and to be fair, made the journey more pleasurable for me in some parts, too busy enjoying the roads to take many pics but Matlock was rammed as you can imagine. Great weekend.

Popped over to Bahrain to help run the Bahrain Superbike Championship over the weekend. The series is run on an arrive and ride basis and they use Panigale 899's.

Copy and repeat next weekend with the plan being I will be the championship Crew Chief next year.

"popped over"..as you do...Great pics and good luck for next years ambitions.

10.5 best 10.8 worse, didn't realise until I watched the videos at home that the traction control was going mental so I was probably losing time through that.
Still good times!
Great times....I know from going on a few 200mph meets when I had the Busa, not many people could get into the 10s despite what times the magazine roadtesters had achieved, took me a few attempts anyway.

That has real appeal, why isn't there more "arrive and ride" in bikes?

Bit of a boring one but it should make working on the bike more pleasant.

I finally got fed up of mullering cross-head screws on Japanese bikes so I treated myself to a proper Japanese Industrial Standard screwdriver. I'd never heard of the make so just bought the one as a try out, it seems really well made and fits the JIS screws on the bike amazingly well. As it should, being the correct tool. Can't believe I messed about with Phillips screwdrivers for so long.

Having the right tools does help smile
I solved the problem recently by moving from a Honda to a Triumph lol
In all seriousness some of the material the japanese manufacturers make their screws/fasterners out of does leave a lot to be desired so I know exactly what you mean.
I've got a set of these, the quality is absolutely top-notch, had to get mine from the U.S though, I don't get why J.I.S screwdrivers are so bleedin' hard to buy in the UK, Snap On did a promo recently where they offered 4x Blue Point J.I.S screwdrivers for £47 but the quality is a joke, stick to the Vessels.

And back to the pics....
