"popped over"..as you do...Great pics and good luck for next years ambitions.
"popped over" for me is a 50 minute flight. The wife came along as she had not been to Bahrain before so we hit the spa for some relaxation after the event.

There are a real mix of nationalities from Saudi, Qatari, Lebanon, India, Kuwait and Bahrain. Next year (subject to travel with work) I will be:

1) Sporting Director for zrtmotorsport (www.zrtmotorsport.com)
2) Crew Chief for Tannir Moto Racing (based in Dubai), and
3) Crew Chief for the Bahrain Superbike Championship (www.bahrainsuperbike.com).

Luckily, my wife is very, very understanding.

Had a weekend away with Mrs P in the Peak district, only her 3rd or 4th time on the bike since passing her test last December and the first of any distance(around 180 miles , no motorways), shes doing well , the endless 40 and 50MPH speed limits suited her ability/pace and to be fair, made the journey more pleasurable for me in some parts, too busy enjoying the roads to take many pics but Matlock was rammed as you can imagine. Great weekend.

Glad she's enjoying it Bryan - getting them involved in the hobby is half the battle won!

Came across this photo from an old article that Chris Pearson wrote when he tested my 750 Ducati Pantah.

He did a 'guest' appearance for the team I raced in at Snetterton in the YPM's. It's a shame he didn't crank the bike over like he did in that photo

In 2000/2001 he was still racing TZ250 & TZ350 with CRMC and whilst he was not Lee Gourlay he was still fast. Apparently way back when he even had a TZ750 !

These days he instructs at Ron Haslam or in cars at airfield days and plays blues music in a local band. Allround not a bad fellow but time catches up with all of us and I am a fat 58 in 2 weeks time.

This was 2009. We were expecting great things after all he told us. After the first race we even checked the bike over as we thought the jets were blocked, but no, all clear.

Nice enough chap, but didn't half bang on

Fitted some Hepco & Becker panniers so now I can take a picnic smile

You'll be lucky to fit an M&S sandwich and bag of crisps in one of them, rucksack would have been more practical!

Stuck an Akra can on my CB thou - ebay job, previous owner had it on his from new, said it was too noisy so took it off after 800 miles. Got the carbon shield to cover the cat too, all for a good price.

Bike feels and sounds a lot better!
Very nice! I test rode one of these on Saturday, exact same colour scheme, first time on a litre bike having only passed last September. Wow! Great fun to ride, think I'll be sensible for the first bike, but one of these is on the list for sure thumbup
