After 12 month forced lay off im back on the road. Jobs done in downtime. Factory pro modded the clutch basket, replaced selector arm and spring, full service. New billet Paioli forks, billet adapter made and K-tech 35ds Pro rear shock fitted. Found a guy whos a brilliant titanium exhaust fabricator so full new system made. Ditched the Ex-Up and all the weight. Sounds spot on, no flat spots noticed as of yet. Exhaust fabricator Liam Abbott Racing, if anybody needs his number just email me. The bike rides really nice, just need to get fit. My mates took some pics, Cheers Roy

It has a Yamaha heart so of course it will be brilliant.

Couple of pictures from me...

Top of Mount Diablo - nice ride out one morning to see the San Francisco Bay Area.

Mis-fire and ended up like this... still in bits....

:-(

P.S. Anyone have any ideas why there might be a mis-fire between 2500 and 3500 RPM? Not coils, battery or earth (well from what I can see). Could be carbs, but run some cleaner through them and doesnt make a difference. Oh, and not the airbox either.....

New track bike - yeah. Off to buy a hoody.
K8?

Looks very tidy. When you out on that then?
It is a K8. What makes you specifically say K8 rather than K7/8? Just curious.

Mallory at the end of this month, just so I can say "flipping 'eck!" a lot presumably, then at the Aug 15th Snetterton do with everyone else off here it seems. If we survive them both then it's out to Aragon in September. All with No Limits.
Think I might have seen that bike before? Where was it you bought it from? You will say more than Flipping Eck I reckon.

Nice bloke called Andy from Rugby. He reckons he's done 30 odd trackdays on it in the last two and a bit years so no surprise that you might have seen it before. He's an older chap that's recently taken to trackdays but I got the idea he got quite handy on it. He's just upgraded to a Craig Fitzpatrick built 2013 ZX10.

He passed on the story of who apparently built the GSXR so I'm hoping for good stuff at the back wheel - maybe. Actually I dropped it off at the dyno shop just to see whether it's got all it's gears and to stop me falling over it as I'm trying to repair my old R1.

Not sure why the K8 has been deliberately fitted with heavier fork springs (he was a heavier chap) but a lighter shock spring, ride as-is just for info (might be good!) or stick in what is accepted for my weight?

If it's the Friday 24th I'll be there so give us a wave. If it's not that day then don't bother waving as I won't be there.
Missed this. Fairly sure it's the last Sunday. So no wavey, wavey. wavey Have fun on the Friday.

I seem to recall reading somewhere race bikes are often like that to help them get the power down.

That might be bks of course.
