It makes perfect sense, unless you love excessive pedantry and try to roll out the tired strawman argument.

The views of the population of PH are well documented, this just supported what he either already knew, or had already decided. If he felt that was going to be the case, then take the points and avoid the tedium of the day.
Your comments still make no sense at all, without any pedantry in sight. Do you always believe every single thing you read, or do you prefer to experience something for yourself before passing judgement?

It also makes no sense to suggest he take the three points anyway, why do you think he'd prefer the points to a day of tedium with a bunch of retards?
It makes sense and you know it, but are just being deliberately obtuse. The post was to highlight how boring the day was. Everybody knows they're going to be boring, especially as we're all riding and driving gods on here amd know everything there is to know. However, we also know we will be surrounded there by people who should not have a driving licence, as they aren't obsessed with counter steering, weighting the pegs and a dab of oppo.

It's also a self fulfilling prophecy.

If people want to post about how rubbishthese days are, then don't go, take the point instead.

Obviously I didn't expect it to be the best afternoon of my life, it just was a lot worse than id expected. From what I was told I thought I may learn something useful about the different sort of camera's and you can have a bit of a laugh. This wasn't the case.

The only thing I took from the day was they are doing a trial at the moment. Which some kind of sensor in the road that will measure a vehicles tyre pressure and tread depth.

As for being obsessed with counter steering etc - That has nothing to do with it. I far from know everything and im certainly willing to learn ( You lads taught me more in one day than I learnt before riding with you ) Id imagine people who are more into Cars / Bikes or whatever would possibly know more than someone who isn't, I get that. However some of the comments made in that room were a real eye opener.

A lot of these people didn't know how to tell a 30 mph limit zone. This was literally straight after it had been drummed into them for the last 2 hours how to tell one - The same people who were the first ones to put there hands up to vote NO when asked if they would want people speeding outside the School gates where there kids attended.

The one thing I did like about the course was they made a big deal about looking at junctions especially for bikers. They did a couple of tasks etc and showed that commercial from a few years ago when a bike t bones a car pulling out. It really st some of these people up, exactly what it was intended to do.

I got caught by a Van hidden behind a hedge, im lucky to get offered a course even if it was painful.

Test rode a thruxton 900 for my mate who hasn't done his test yet today. Not a bad bike, but gutless compared to my tuono but it'll be good for him as a first bike. Nice to ride something a bit different, might go try a new thruxton R next weekend.

Let us know what you think of the R, it is a bike I am very interested in.

Gave the 749 a spanking at Bedford yesterday, nice to do a circuit with decent left handers!

It is a good road, some nice twistys leading up to it too...there's a lot of suicidal sheep you need to watch out for though!

Is that the B 6278, between Stanhope and Derwent Water, or the Stanhope to Eggleston bit? Fantastic views on a clear day.

I think the conversation went a bit mental tbh. Mine was a throwaway comment, but half serious too, as an SAC is effectively a free pass, even if no fun. I did enjoy the logic piece though hehe

The counter steering and other stuff was more of a generic comment about the whole of PH not you specifically.

In general I think most drivers would struggle to name most things on the road that they should be doing. Now that I commute by bike again, I reckon there are three or four drivers every day who weave about in their lane as they check their phone / radio / light up / fill their vape thingy up and so on.
