Hahaha, yes much better than a dodgy instant coffee at DB, shame that there's so few of us getting out this year but I suppose its better as we are not constantly waiting for yazza to catch up.

This is how I finished up my weekend after a trip out to the Kent countryside yesterday:

Clean bike, warm evening, cold beer.

I rode that very YZF at the Day of Champions a few years ago. The Spondon Yam is my ex team mates bike
Very cool...the Spondon Yam looked like it had seen plenty of action!

Some vintage stroker fun, Dad's Bantam arrived today, I took it for a brief spin, brakes as shocking as I thought they would be but on the (major) plus side, the motor felt surprisingly strong, it rode nicely and most importantly, put a grin on my Dads face.

Note to self. Do not spend two days in the pissing rain on track, zip up your gloves and lid in your helmet bag still soaking and fling it in with the others until your next track day.

I was just doing my usual, picking my helmets for croft. fk me they are covered in a Web like mold and fungus.

I dunno if I should be proud I created life or should burn the st out of it.

Been there, done that etc. Wash them out in a mild bleach solution, then rinse thouroughly and hang out to dry - they'll be fine.

If the first item is a cover face & nose thing then soak liberally in girlfriend's perfume.

Pah. Tis only a little mould - they're there already, they own the bloody planet, it's just you can see them more clearly when they've pitched the circus tent / set up the BBQ / street party

Cannot be bothered to post piccie of me bathing the mouldy leathers again but half the classic type cars I've had go through "furry periods" smile

I flung them in the washing machine. They have came out clean, they don't smell great. Perhaps I should have used the mrs fabric balls she buys.

It smells a bit funky but I'll just blow smoke into it until it smells like lucky strike again.

What a bd putting it back together again. It's like a pund of mince.
