I'll have a ride out again if yellow bellies are allowed

New spring and re gassed but for some reason he hasn't put the end cap on.

I set the sag on the Ohlins for the 675 for croft tomorrow

Fuuuuck me lucky my spanners came as it was a nightmare turning it almost 20 mm. Took forever. I'd have destroyed it with a hammer and screwdriver

No idea how a guy of the same weight road it and apparently it was his road bike.

I'm up for that John ... Be good to see you smile

Been out with Dave and Simon recently and bumped into Graham last week whilst out with a mate running in his new bike.

Today my faith in humanity has been restored.

I took the bike for a blast, broke down in the middle of nowhere. 10 minutes later a guy in a van stops to help, gets his tools out, and discovers that my front sprocket nut has disappeared.

He then lets me load my bike into his van, takes it to his workshop, re-cuts the thread on the gearbox shaft then drives me 10 miles home and lends me his paddock stand until I can get a new nut

All this for a complete stranger!!

I think you better buy him a big bag of monster munch for his efforts when he comes back to pick up the stand.

There's many nice people out there still - despite what the Daily Mail would have you believe!

We had a Velocette pack up (think it was the magneto) and a chap who happened to be passing with an empty box trailer stopped and we loaded it in and he took it home for us.

I also ran out of petrol on the sidecar outfit on the Banbury Run once. I wandered up this really long driveway and the kind chap inside literally tipped his lawnmower upside down to get some out me to to get along with.

My favourite one though was in Ireland when I terminally killed a '55 Triumph Thunderbird. Whilst waiting for the recovery truck I sat on the wall outside the only house for miles. The old boy who lived in there came out and without saying a word sat next to me. Trying to think how to politely start a conversation I said "many plans for today"? He replied with, "Oi thought Oi'd sit here with you".

Anyone got a spare bike? I'm thinking of trying to pick up an old srad or something else cheapo and cheerful

Oh and new gear cos I'm too fat to get in any of it

Fat bd, I have just got rid of a load of gear as was too big for me, I'd have happily let you have it, but its gone so I can't, I feel sorry for a poor little sports bike with your fat arse on it, I know of a Virago 535 locally that'll suit you down to the ground.

Don't think so, there isn't enough clearance between the inside of the frame and the outside of the chain to allow the sprocket to come off the end of the shaft. Could possibly have made a mess of the frame though!
