Happiness is decent weather, a day off work and an old Fireblade!

Fitted the ninjas rebuilt shock. Looks rather nice.

Quick question about brakes. On my track bike there's a slight hsss or sound of air coming from the lever as the plunger compresses the line. Lever feels fine, braking is good and no loss of fluid. But other bikes don't do this. Very faint but I can hear it and was enough to ask if I should strip it and check or stop being a tt.

Used to own this a few years ago :-)

But on this sunny day in August I bought it back from the previous owner and enjoyed a 146 mile trip.

back on two wheels again after a few years off and it was knackering but great fun.

I know they've got a job to do and that's fine but trying to coax someone into breaking any law is a s trick

Yellow screw obscuring the number 6, you should have stopped them and made a public arrest smile

146 miles on a 916, surprised you can still walk!

Lovely bike though.

Shameless, must have been a slow day for an unmarked car to be deployed out into the sticks, you must be Northbumerland's most wanted.

I've had a marked car try and goad me into speeding by tailgating and then backing off then shooting back up to me again on an empty dual carriageway at night, and I've been chased by a marked car for a traffic stop by a bored copper, again during the night. That was in my old Leon Cupra R and my Civic Type R, never had bother on the bike. Typical unmarked cars like that BMW do get my spidey sense tingling as soon as I see them and I either pass slowly and then gradually open a gap or I pull in and let them move on. I didn't think they'd deliberately obscure their numberplate though, that's a new one.

I've never really understood when blokes bring bikes into their house, is it not easier to just bring a sofa to the garage?
