the ultima sadly got wrecked a few years ago at knockhill and most of the pics seem to have been lost with the passing of each laptop with its hard drive, however I found a video from the inside of our trip to the ring in 08,

is this it?

Was down in the Basque region for a couple of weeks - popped in to see the Pau-Arnos old WSB circuit as like to tick off visiting circuits wherever I go. Was a track day going on - no marshals, no jobs worths, no bkings for wheelies smile Looks a great circuit to ride.

It is! Used to ride here frequently when I lived in Toulouse. Amazing fast downhill section (in the background in the last picture, left of centre) and a scary steep downhill chicane that pretty much throws you out of your seat...good memories!

Looks like you've had a great time Bryan. Did you get to speak to Jimmy and Paul?

MoT for the R1 this weekend. Previous chap being MoT'd with the strange left hand drive Ducati Paso sidecar thing was a former racer. I had to google someone with a nickname of Crazy Horse!

http://motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/motorcycle_ne...

Listening to him chat with the owner of the MoT place (who I think is a former British Sidecar Motocross type champ) was a lesson in where I sit on the sanity scale. Every conversation was along the lines of 'you know, the meeting where Fred / Tom / Ginger etc was killed'.

The R1 managed to make itself more unsellable on the way home. Far too many candles on it's birthday cake now.

I did, found them in the pub and shortly after that, spotted them again thrashing the spuds off the bikes acclerating away from the Gooseneck, they seemed to be enjoying themselves John!

Had a run over to North Wales this morning with a mate

To be honest I won't be going again, we got overtaken by a fking Harley the pace was that slow, 45 in an NSL and giving it the beans was a blast to a mighty 80mph frown

Was that because of the broken exhaust?

No I've fixed that, it was mainly because someone was one a bike who really shouldn't be wink

My old CX still starts on the button. Hopefully ( my favourite word ) it'll be back on the road next year.

I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I have soft spot for those old CX500's especially the Eurosport versions. I rode a mates brand new 650 version back in the early 1980's and although heavy and slow, I've always liked the over engineered feel of them.
