John, Is that maybe not mpg, and actually L per 100km or whatever the euro equivalent is??? Or is it your worst mpg on the straight, not your average over a lap or session.

Coz I was getting 8-9 laps at Mugello which is 26-29 miles on 5 litres of petrol. If you were getting 9mpg over a session of 8 laps, you would be needing 13.5L of fuel which doesn't sound right at all.

Dunno Neil, it's crap on petrol, I used 1.5 tanks of fuel in 4 and a bit sessions, I set all mpg and trips to zero before the bike left the UK

Media blasted exhaust system... Went from dark brown and badly stained to this for £40

Taken last week, pub in the New Forest. No idea what one!

Did you have the cans done as well? The headers on mine sound a bit like yours did but the link pipes and end cans are fine. There are a couple of little marks on my cans, would this get rid of them?

I've been meaning to get new Akrapovic stickers for mine but it would make sense to get the system blasted first for the sake of £40-50.

I only got the SS sections media blasted. The cans and link pipes are Ti, best thing I found for cleaning up Ti is garryglex blocks (fine, 240 grit). Very very good for cleaning off stains and stubborn spots (even gets rid of strap marks), without altering the factory finish and going too polished.

The place did say they've done Ti exhausts too so I imagine it would work just the same. It does leave a satin finish, slightly rough to the touch, took about an hour with autosol to bring them up again.

Thanks for the quick reply! Ok, mine is the same system s/s headers and Ti cans and link pipes. I'll have a go on the Ti bits myself and send the other bits off for blasting, I was only thinking the other day that they are the only thing that detracts from the look of the bike.

Typically I've been having trouble sourcing new stickers as mine are the newer style ones, contacted akrapovic and Aprilia direct but can't find them in the correct size anywhere!

Yeah.. I replaced the stickers on mine last year, they are dead stock but I managed to find a pair that had been sat in somebodies shed for a few years through a forum! There are copies on ebay that are pretty close too

Here's a garryflex before and after, they really do work well
