Oi! I resemble that remark!

Me in my Mick Roberts motocross boots.

Today's pics: Nothern Lights Rally, Aberdeen MCC.

Love the long legs of the Triumph wink

It was fecking cold that night, the tent could stand up on it's own with the ice that was on it.

Our XJ750 was frozen solid too!

First lap of a very wet Ulster GP this year. First time there and it had to rain, typical. Didn't spoil the fun and games though as it is an amazing course. In fact I enjoyed it so much, I am heading there again next year. Anyone thinking of going to sepctate, I would say either Deer's Leap, the end of the Flying Kilo or Lougher's Corner should do the job nicely.

I look forward to the day that the Bike Shed or Bike Exif feature the re-creation of an authentic 1970s custom. smile

Mine was a cafe racer Norton Dominator, but, thankfully, I have no photographs.
That BSA M33 cost me the princely sum of £25 and it was 1 year older than me, so in that pic it would be 19 years old in 1974. It was a BSA M33 from 1955 500cc single. At that time I was running a Honda CD175 as my main bike and this BSA was one I was going to return to standard, a guest at our hotel seen the BSA and made me an offer on it that I took, never seen it again after that, it was a good runner and started first kick ... as long as you got the timing right biggrin The principle role for the M33 was hauling sidecars around, the frame was made with the points to attach a sidecar to it.

Should have looked something like this:

I'd assumed that it was a B31 350. 350 singles seemed to be a lot more common than the 500s (except for ex-army M20 sidevalves).

Great pics mate..Id imagine it was rather botty clenching in those conditions?

Good luck next year.

Cheers and thank for the good wishes! To be honest with you, the UGP in the rain wasn't that bad. I prefer rain to damp conditions, as you know the grip is consistent in the rain (mostly!). Oliver's Mount in the wet is not the best though, very slippery in places under the trees.

Whoever owns that clearly knows what they're doing LOL
I'm paranoid and super careful about putting just enough on my chain to ensure I get as close to zero as possible onto the tyre

Why have they sprayed oil/wax on the bit that doesn't come into contact with the sprockets??

To prevent sideplate corrosion or cover already corroded plates maybe?

Yep, mid-late 90s blade in shonky Castrol frock. Back wheel spokes another giveaway. I'm ashamed to say I can't pick the model designation but this morning is the first time I paid it much attention.
