GSXR gone, hello Firestorm, never had a yellow bike before, its growing on me..took it for a quick spin, feels really nice to ride and comfy..

Further proof that 2 stroke prices have all gone silly, someone paid more for this imported , battered NS400 than a 2 owner, 6,000 mile 2002 'storm...

Looks nice, I've always had a soft spot for firestorms, I doubt I'll ever have one though. You going to get some cans on it to let out some noise?

Thanks..Yes, as soon as funds allow, I think it should be illegal for a V Twin not to have set of proper cans on it..

You can DIY mod the exhaust (drilled), doesn't sound too bad.

Tank range is rubbish and check the cam chain tensioner isn't knackered (rattles).

Other than that nice bike biggrin

Can't go wrong with a Yellow bike but that GSX_R was a mighty fine looking bike.

Do you guys know if there is any TV footage of this?

It's the one where Jeremy McWilliams does well right? I think it was ITV that covered it last year.
Found some on board stuff on 'tube

I'm not normally a bike person but my friend bought this customised bike and I quite fell for it whilst it was in my garage.
I really like that.
Wes Cooley replica?
Yes I believe it is. It's been modified in a few different ways. It has been on the TT track at some point from what I've been told. The guy who built it spent ages on it. It really has had a lot of time spent on it. Think he's thinking of selling it now. As I say I know nothing about bikes but I like the rawness of it. Think having less panels on it and being able to see all the mechanical parts.

That is a beautiful thing, one of those or a Lawson rep Z1000R would be a great addition to a garage.
He'll sell it to you at the right offer and you can look at it all day long!

Had a screw in my front the other day, plugged it with this:

30 secs to plug, hell of a lot easier than i thought! so far holds pressure no problem.

Just lacking speedblocks eh John?....GSXR certainly certainly was, been a great buy, gone to a good home, which makes it a tad easier.

To be honest I'm not even sure what he would want for it. I don't have a clue with bikes. Mind when I said id give him £100 for it he did look at me funny! I said its just an old bike isn't it lol. So I take it it must be more than that!

It had crossed my mind, but then so too did doubt, especially with the rip alongside the actual nail. $200 vs a potential blowout and serious consequences is an easy choice to make however. smile

With only 36 parts at least there is a finite number of configurations before it should work...

Claw hammer, duct tape and an old copy of Escort magazine. I don't think there's anything else you'll need to rebuild a carb smile

Changed my first chain today. Finally coughed up the £130 for a decent breaker/riveting tool and took the plunge. not as easy as I thought, and things were definitely complicated by the eccentric rear hub - first time adjusting that too!

I've never been particularly anal about a really pristine chain, but on the Ducati, it's bothering me. So, do the more particular among you clean off/replace the wax that comes on the chain with anything to stop splattering?
