Turns out the Beast didnt awaken - couldn't get it to start!!

Took the lad out for a splash round in the mud on his KTM today instead.... only his third time on a bike. Wouldn't say he's a natural but he's trying and listening.....and in hindsight an 85sx was not the best choice for a beginner...oh well he'll get the hang of it....

I am new to anything offroad this year KTMB and got giddy and bought a KTM250EXC 2t....
I totally understand what you mean by "not the best choice" maybe, as mine is still currently waaay too much for me... but I absolutely love it , without trying to be clever, I only really like bikes that are a challenge and you have to "grow into" and those light weight 2strokers are certainly that - best fun i've had on a bike in....about 5 months !

Yes I did. I'm 17 stone and it stills rips with me on it.....hilarious....in fact I nearly came off it when I got double rutted....
Fantastic little bikes really. Laps up my son pottering around in 2 gears too high not even hitting the power band all day long and then I get on it and goes like stink. Bloody expensive when they go wrong though....

RST summer jacket and an old SRAD on carbs not the best choice for commuting, but I've been on it 3 days out of 3 this week so far. I wore my leather jacket today, for a bit of extra warmth.

That was a guy on one of the Aprilia facebook groups, he was fine and bike was somehow relatively undamaged, pretty sure he went back out for more sessions.
