Liam - do you work for OF? Can you tell them to let me know when they are out of stock of parts of our order rather than having to sift through the delivery notes. It's a piss boiler!!The house has smelt like a forecourt since Sunday, when the Mrs started to complain of headaches, I knew I had to have a ganders, turned out the 500 was tricking out fuel from 2 of the overflow pipes so I took off the tap this afternoon, the vacuum diaphragm looks very delicate but im not sure a new one would be much different from what ive looked at online, rest of it looks A1 to me, what do you think?
Toss up now between buying a (pattern) fuel tap rebuild kit or a new genuine fuel tap..
Not sure...

I've had bother with pattern fuel tap on both my 50 and 125, both Yamaha taps were around £20 ish each.
My 125 emptied most of its fuel when I was away on a foreign TD a couple of years back.
Yes, they do seem hit and miss John , sometimes they work, sometimes they dont I think, I managed to successfully repair (with a pattern rebuild kit) my 350 tap over Winter but that wasnt a vacuum tap with so many seals..My 125 emptied most of its fuel when I was away on a foreign TD a couple of years back.
Id imagine the 125 would empty its tank pretty quick on and off track at a TD!
Cheers

Lovely long hard day in the sun on the newly " refreshed" stroker....reed valves replaced and starting cold / hot on a half prod of kickstarter, breathing and fuelling beautifully so now predicatable and consistent on its delivery....should make me oh so much better on it .....it doesn't !
However , new hard Enduro circuit tested , Parkwood/Tong, near Bradford, great set up huge wooded streams , uphill wet rock climbs etc ....the lad parked next to us was up from Milton Keynes to ride it !
First time I've ever somersaulted off a bike today , dropped the front into a proper deep gully and it stopped but the rest , the arse end of the bike and me , didn't ...wet and messy ....
But - stamina and progress improving ....slowly

I bought a pattern rebuild kit for my 350N2 and it was a disaster. Ended up buying a NOS fuel tap.
