Why I love Yazza , because a head gasket ( ok O rings as I now know) is no big deal to him , and a quick change of pipes
( cooling )means I get to try it out tomorrow , and as a piston is due very soon as just over 50 hours on the stroker already on the seemingly original , nothing to lose , if head needed skimming it will get it in couple of weeks when new piston goes in ...
Strip down ( panels and tank off , head bracket ) to head off time elapsed , 15 mins....
I quite like these two strokes as even I understand them .....
Sort of !

Another hundred running in miles done on the 250 today

The sight of that back in 1975 would given a spotty 17 year old a huge erection, they were definitely the good old days!
I was 17 in 1974, and I had one!

GT250 that is! Haha!!

Get an hour meter Grahame, they're simple to fit and you can keep an accurate account of the hours before fitting a new piston.

We get 15 hours out of a piston.

Have fun, Graham.

I have a few of these on my watch list, determined to get one at some point.
Just waiting to hear if I've been successful on a new job so I may treat myself if so wink

Was at the Wirral Egg Run today. First time I have been and it's good fun with crowds of people lining the streets waving. Nice weather for it as well.

My first run of 2017, St Mary's Loch... Loving the GSXR 750, back down to 6 points next week as well, so can relax the spinchter slightly whilst riding too!

I hear your pain, I was running around on 9 points for a few years and have to say my driving and riding was the worse ever. Sporadic moments of speed followed by a sickening feeling of have I just been caught by a tt hiding in a hedge with a speed gun rolleyes

If it makes you feel any better I have just been out on my rsv4 for its last run before I sell it and have a nasty feeling( 50/50) I may be going to jail if the s had there gear rigged up on the dual carriage way I decided to take on the way home,

I am hoping not frown . . Fook sports bikes I'm done , my neck would of gave way on the ktm way before the indicated max speed on the rsv4 dash. Wish me luck.

When I got to 9 points end of last summer I just threw the bike in the shed. Thankfully three drop off in April, and three historic points in February, so I'm back where I started in start of 2016. I was very lucky not to end up before a magistrate when I was caught last though, in fact it was only because I was caught by police bikers.

It's an unpleasant feeling, but we've only ourselves to blame after all.

Best of luck.
