Glorious day on Saturday. Really enjoyed a ride across through Wales. Have had the old girl 7 years now and it's getting close to a change, but no idea what to change it for.
Why not keep it

Exiting druids yesterday

Got P16 and P15 in the two powerbike races with NG, although could have got P14 in race one if I didn't make a couple of mistakes. Still an awesome weekend though biggrin
Nice one George, you'll be kicking my arse now.

Couple of pics from my first ever trackday at Mallory Park on Friday. I was hoping that he would have taken some pics through Gerrards with some proper lean angle on but it doesn't appear that he did.

First time on track is the best, it all goes downhill from there, nothing like the buzz you get first time can be replacated

I stopped by Newlands Corner yesterday on my way back from buying some new riding jeans for an ice cream and see what's about.

Jeeeesus, you see some wallies in biking. Cracking day for it though, experimented some more with the XR throttle maps and picked up some very handy fasteners for when I need to carry the odd soft item home from work

George!

You're supposed to say that you still wouldn't be able to kick my arse!

I dunno, the youth of today has no respect.

Fair play to him, if I could afford one I'd have one, I think you've missed my point though, people wet their knickers about how fast they are when in fact they're about as fast as Mr OCD.

We had a well maintained (JHP Coventry) Desmo with the full GP system zorst on the dyno last year and it pulled an average 172hp/74ftlbs. (for reference, the decat Akro R1m was 184hp). The Desmo needs the trick factory racing internals to do the numbers, and a softer chassis for road work.

I m not very good at remembering the names of the corners but we named that one "vultchers" because of all the blood hungry people waiting for something to happen.

I remember the corners like this, it's oh st, fk me or oh no not this one.

1 minute 44 seconds always makes my stomach go funny as you top the rise before the double apex right handed, as fast as you dare into the slight left to carry as much speed as you can before the tight ish right hander and you head down the bum hole, see, I do know a couple of the corners names

Nice smooth riding and keeping an eye out for cars which as quicker around there than you would expect.

That's a general shot of my bike and some tree that's in bloom. The numerous wallies are out of shot (such as the one behind the camera).
It occurred to me yesterday that I like going to places where other bikes turn up on an ad-hoc basis, especially when its warm and sunny. I just don't want to actually talk to 99% of the people there.

I met up with some people there once, via a friend. When it was suggested we go from there to another nice spot for food, one person in full brand new kit protested that we should change the venue because he has trouble with the uphill right turn to leave the car park of the one suggested. Or the chap yesterday in one-piece leathers with his nickname sewn onto his bum but his original knee and toe sliders still pristine. Or the chaps with matching chinese/ebay special metallic green one-piece race-replica (no idea who it was supposed to replicate) leathers. I mean, I'm all for live and let live but seriously...

I prefer Newlands to Rykas on a few counts........there are less knuckledraggers go to Newlands and the food is better. Unfortunately the type of people you are describing turn up at every bike meeting place up and down the country
