I m not very good at remembering the names of the corners but we named that one "vultchers" because of all the blood hungry people waiting for something to happen.

I remember the corners like this, it's oh st, fk me or oh no not this one.

1 minute 44 seconds always makes my stomach go funny as you top the rise before the double apex right handed, as fast as you dare into the slight left to carry as much speed as you can before the tight ish right hander and you head down the bum hole, see, I do know a couple of the corners names

Nice smooth riding and keeping an eye out for cars which as quicker around there than you would expect.
lol, that works too and is a bit easier to remember than ze names!

It was about 12 years ago that I crashed a GT3 between Wehrseifen and Kallenhard whilst in a good dogfight with a friend on 'one more lap' at the end of a perfect weather weekend having already done about 30-40 hard laps over 2 days. Nowadays I just go for fun, to ride the region with friends, and always make it a point to come home on the same vehicle under my own power. I have never taken any of the sports bikes down there, for reason. That being said, there is no where else like it.

Met up with these two yesterday for a run out.

Back when I was 15 these were two of the local nutters on gt250's and rd's
Both mid 50's now but still out and about

The guy on the Kwak has two

Great day out sharing old tales.
I went with them to Oulton park in 82 for the transatlantic races. The one on the LC had a cbx with a Marshall 6 into 1 at the time.
We went to a nearby pub where he was pulling monster wheelies,it was a dark and everytime he put it down the pipe grounded out in a flurry of sparks. It was mega, some angel types who were watching kept buying him drinks to do it again

A couple of pics of them back in the day

lc rider

Kwak rider on his z1r which I thought was the coolest bike going

That is on the road from Wing, just outside Leighton Buzzard, lovely stretch of road going through Cublington, Oving and meeting up with the A41 Aylesbury Road right near near Waddesdon mate.

I think ive seen a pic of your SP, you get out on the Spondon RG over weekend?
Out on the F3 this weekend. Spondon RG is having some work done to fix the leaky carbs at the moment so not on the road as yet. Will be soon though.

Sexual. This would be third from the left in my lottery win bike lineup, after a CT110 and a RGV250 (they will go from left to right in ascending order of displacement, you see).

Feel I must be missing out on something. Although not sure what exactly.... how stupid does that sound.

That tail tidy really improves the looks of the MT-10, takes away the 'dog dragging it's arse' look of the standard numberplate mount and just makes the bike look more 'level' - if that makes sense.

New bikes are great but they can feel a bit cold espically now with all the electronic bks.

My honest advice would be if you're happy with your bike and it is in good condition is keep it.

I sold my 04 R1 only because I couldn't ride it more than 20 minutes without severe discomfort. Like your bike that bike of mine could and did piss over everything if I was in the mood for it.

New bikes and cars do not stay new for long and I can see the current stuff being a pain in the arse repair wise in years to come, not that will affect me because my 50cc moped and 125 do not have any electronics apart from lights and indicators

Yeah it's good, I'm liking it more and more every time I use it, I think I have around 530 miles on it so far, I may try and sneak it first service at Bells before the weekend if they have time.

If they don't I'll change the oil and filter myself

Agree and understand totally. Some manufacturer mounts are worse than others, afraid Yamaha are sometimes the worst offender.

Again some tail tidies are less tidy than others, mounting the plate at a weird angle, wires/indicator mounts in view etc (the R&G one for the S1000R isn't good, the Evo-Tec one is neat).

That one on the MT-10 above looks as it should be original.
