Some pics/ screenshots from weekend run round Skye and west Highlands. Mostly sunny weather, only Saturday was overcast and a bit cold.

Which bike broke down?

That's a great photo. Has proper 'movement' when you look at it, not just a freeze frame in perfect focus smile

A few shots of my Tuono after some minor mods.

Billet gear lever from Italy that allows race shift and still uses factory Quickshifter and pegs.

R&G tail tidy and obligatory smaller plate.

SW day bag with quick release. These are now harder to fit as the fuel caps have no visible bolts as standard.

Also did rad guards, oil cooler guard and paddock stand bobbins.
Do you use race shift on the road?

I get confused swapping from road to race shift on my 125 and R1 road bike, the Fizzy is OK as they're all down to change up.

It's a recent thing for me as my gimpy left ankle and knee seems to be better using race shift. So I did the MV first and then had the Tuono and GSX-R on road shift. GSX-R now sold so did the Tuono to the same as the MV.

So I will try this for the rest of the year and see how it goes.

I run race shift on the track bikes but road pattern on the RSV4. All fine and well until I try to hustle the RSV on track when I inadvertently revert to race pattern and foof it up. Should really change the RSV to race pattern...

I love 900 Ninjas. It looks to be fairly standard apart from the Neta Pipe ?

Enjoy

Nice, been looking at these recently for something to cruise around on, it amazes me how skinny the tyres seem in comparison with modern stuff.

Very nice I had an A1 back in the day when I was 19. Bought an A2 a few years ago for some retro fun, it was ok but I couldn't get on with the smaller front wheel. Changed it for a rebuilt A10 in A1 colours 2 years ago which has the larger front wheel. Its great its both heavy and nimble by modern standards if that makes sense.

I had a mate who went there on the 6th and had a great time, but I couldn't believe it when I was told there was a sprinkler in an adjacent field that was spraying water onto the right hander after the pit straight as there were strong winds! That is not ideal and caused some major wipe outs to the point where 1 bike was destroyed beyond recognition!

I hope to get there on the 29th June

Not an interesting or spectacular picture, but the last one I took of my bike, before it was collected by its new owner... on my birthday. Fate is a cruel mistress. I reckon it's a good sign when you're sad to see a bike go.
