That is a kick in the balls mate. Modern unleaded is fking evil stuff. I've lost the transfers off the side of one of my tanks recently that had survived God knows how many years.
I was a bit miffed for 10 minutes last night but what can you do, getting angry doesn't solve anything. The was at least One positive I could take from this and that was that Mrs Nemesis didn't say anything when I hit the drink big time last night. (3 cans of larger)

Had my tank re painted on the LC at the start of this year. Last night I filled the tank up and parked it on the centre stand, went back in the garage a couple of hours later to the smell of petrol and find that petrol had leaked out of the cap and run down the side of the tank lifting the sticker.
With the cap being on the side at an angle this is how it has leaked, I suspect that the cap is a pattern item just like the fuel tap that leaked when left switched on.
I've just ordered another full set of graphics again and will have to order more paint and lacquer and pay to have it all stripped and then re painted again, I'll also order a genuine filler cap from Yamaha
That's another £350-£400 for fk all again!
I feel your pain, my LC tank suffered a similar fate, shortly after painting it as too, a wee pin hole was the cause in my case, I have the same pattern cap as you I think, ive got fuel on my tank but the paint hasnt suffered , perhaps the paint wasnt quite up to the job..?With the cap being on the side at an angle this is how it has leaked, I suspect that the cap is a pattern item just like the fuel tap that leaked when left switched on.

Hope you get it sorted soon anyway.

Quite possibly leaning on the actual bike he lost his life on - the Killer K. Racing Teapot in the background as well.
My first year at the TT, watched that race at Keppell Gate - the landlord at the B&B turned the news up at dinner, the room went quiet when we heard that Phil (and Steve Henshaw in Whitham's crash) were killed in that race.

Shame John, but you can't say you didn't try..
So what's next??
Not sure Steve, could be a ZX10, BMW or an R1.So what's next??
According to the crack everyone reckons I have ordered a R1-M which is news to me.
And considering you're a tall lad, the ZX is quite stretched out, might suit you nicely....
