Looks like a nice trip, your bike looks lovely, especially amongst the other sports tourers. I'm heading to Spain for 3 weeks in September and can't wait.

My bike was just less than £16500 for the Sport SE version including full luggage, complete set of inner bags, back rest for the topbox and Nav V.
Thanks keenbz91
Have a great tip, I can give you some great roads to do! Let us know how you get on with the bike!
I'll post a video up on YouTube when I get time

Last weekend I took the bike to Wales for its first mini trip. 2 up with luggage although BMW still haven't provided the rear rack so no top box unfortunately. Roughly 600 miles covered and the roads around Snowdonia were fantastic, a real baptism of fire for both me and the bike. My biggest concern was riding into a sheep which just litter the roads and verges. The weather was pretty nice until our trip home where we got soaked for 2 hours but what else do you expect from Wales?!

Still really pleased with the XR, I just want to be out riding all the time but I've done 755 miles so far and I've got the first service on Saturday afternoon which was meant to be at 600 miles frown

Obligatory photo's with scenery...

That's a lot of moolah for a motorbike! Fair play.
It is indeed but it's not as much as the alternatives once you spec them. The Multi is £15750 plus £2000 in extras for the same spec and the KTM 1290 Adv. is a little more again.
I think you can get the base XR for £12400 so if you don't plan on touring and aren't worried about fancy suspension etc. then that's not too bad.
I'm too tight - I'd just buy a 2012 2k mile K1300S with luggage for £9k biggrin

Thats a lovely bike Keebz and that K1300 looks mint. These threads are doing nothing for my creeping sense of doom that I bought the wrong bike.....

And I havent even picked it up yet biggrin
