Out of interest, if it blows up under warranty on a track day, can you make a claim ?

i guess by the state of the tyres they would know it had done a track day, so you can't hide it.

Would that even matter? I remember Nissan saying they wouldn't honor warranty claims if R35 GT-Rs blew up on track and that the Sat Nav system and dataloggers would be able to tell them where the car was and what it was going when it st itself - they presumably went back on that though, not least because they massively over-engineered the car.

If a manufacturer, Ducati in this instance, refused to fix a bike that blew up on track, but was otherwise maintained in accordance with their schedule and specifications, I'd have thought that would reflect very badly on them. It's clearly designed with fast riding in mind, you'd think it should be able to survive going on track.

No idea, but there were issues with gearbox fixes under warranty on race bikes.

Proper racing vs. trackdayed road bike is where the manufacturers draw their line I'm guessing.
