On the subject of 899's, my mate is currently trying to get his bike DB testing for noise as it has the Termi's on and has been told it wont pass the noise test at Snetterton.

If the 899 was on this trackday, it must have passed the noise test or are the limits for noise higher there?

It was a dedicated track / race bike.

It was a noisy day at Donington, which is billed as 105dB, but actually has zero noise testing and you won't get pulled, so you can't use this as a gauge

I was at Snetterton on Monday, they were pretty strict, failed loads of people that were boarder line... they seem to have been getting stricter recently, I had a new end can so got a reading un-baffled first, failed at 105 but was at 98 with baffle fitted... Worth making sure you can beat 102DB before going to Snetterton, they were sending out caution to those at 101 that they'd likely trip the drive by sound limits too, there was lots of moaning by lots of people on the day...

Gota love Donington, had a cracking day there Tuesday...
