Ive been keen to change my crf 450x enduro bike for a 350 KTM Six days, as all the race guys seem to be on KTMs and they are so much lighter than the Honda. But I am really worried about the reliability and the reputed fragile nature of them! The Honda is not perfect, and its been apart and rebuilt several times a season, but nothing has really "broken" on it, just maintenance and one front sprocket oil seal went. And it just feels totally reliable, the thing that breaks first is always me!
Still fancy the KTM, but it is a concern in the back of my mind.
My head would say stick with the CRF but the KTM Six Days models are a sexual thing. Also, I think the Honda is the only one that runs separate engine and gearbox oil isn't it? That appealed to me when I had mine. Still fancy the KTM, but it is a concern in the back of my mind.
