OCD - Heavy? You know what? My 03 955 feels pretty light and well balanced for a 200kg bike and it handles very well. I was surprised myself. I must have bought a nimble one.

The main thing the OP will have to do is get his hands on a SRAD that isn't shagged.
Yes, heavy. I have a 2004 955i in my garage ...it is 200kg dry, so more like 220kg+ wet... it weighs a bloody tonne and the weight is high up in the bike as well. Handles and brakes as well as can be expected for a naked bike, but things have moved on massively on that front with the 675 / 1050.

Saying that the wife loves it, and won't let me trade it in for something newer / more modern.

2000 is a 'Y' series but another step on from SRADs definitely.

It appears that Mr OCD has exceptionally high standards in all fields.

Is a very good shout Bill, monumental engine for a 900, much quicker than a GSXR750! I forgot why I sold mine!

Sorry to butt in here but im surprised there's not much people complaining about this stupid update thing.I had to change my username from the one i've had on this site for god knows how many years to this one,'and' i've got to go through the indignity of being told i'm 'new' and i'm not allowed to post on most of the forums 'because' im new??Aaaahhh!!

Later ones, c1 onwards are light enough and handle well enough.

They can be had for under £2k. They do seem to be going up though...

I agree my c1 handled well and was comfortable. The induction roar is addictive as well smile

I recall doing a swap from my GSXR to a ZX9R and the thing tank slapped so badly it nearly threw me off, so I gave the bike straight back. I think it was down to the lack of steering damper and bumpy B rounds

So been gunning my 955i to dorset and back for work and gone and sprung a fekking oil leak from around the alternator cover.

I have to say the triple motor is lovely on the boil and the sound is fantastic. I just wish it would keep the contents of its oil on the inside.

Que ribbing from mates - should have bought a Japanese bike in the first place!

I am very unhappy. frown

OP get that SRAD or K1

Agree. My C1 was like a grown up CBR600. Do anything bike that was plenty fast enough for me.
Really wish I still had it to be honest. Great bike.
