Anybody use this?

I have some Alpinstars leather trousers and they are just too tight around the knees with the standard protection in, can D30 be added as an replacement?

Yeah, its great, have it in a jacket and 2 pairs of trousers, really comfy, good fit. They do CE level 1 and 2..obviously the L2 stuff is a bit thicker. No reason it shouldn't fit as a replacement to existing stuff

Yeah it's great stuff. So long as the pockets are big enough, no eason why it won't fit.

On another note regarding D3O armour - does anyone use seperate knee armor that you put on under jeans, that can hold D3O pads? I'm gonna order a set of Hood jeans, but they don't have pockets for the armour - just a strip of velco on the armor which attaches to the jeans. I already have D3O armor from other jeans and don't really want to have a velcro strip permanently on the armour - so gonna look out for armour that you wear seperately that can take my existing knee armour.

Yeah that's the sort of thing I'm after, just without the armour as I have my own - or a little cheaper. Don't really want to be paying 80-odd quid..

I am probably going to fit D3O Armour in them, not sure what will fit though, but as I only live 15miles from SportsBikeShop I will pop in and see what fits and report back!!

In that case, I'd try Forcefield NeT Armour Upgrade too. The NeT armour is soft and very comfy, yet achieves the higher Level 2 CE standard thumbup

You can get CE2 rated D3O stuff as well as the normal level 1 stuff. There's a few doing the same sort of armour now so plenty to choose from.

Local cycle shop to me

D30 knee pads for mountain biking. Same pad as what's in my leathers for £35.

Shame they don't have any in my size though.
