Ducati Bip 748 or 749

Thinking of getting a 748 bip or a 749 bip now on looks its the 748 but have herd the 749 is a lot better handeling any body had both of thses to comment on how different they are . am aranging a test ride on both bikes have one of each to look at. so any info would be helpful .its going to be for weekend going on the back lanes and odd track day have a misile for everyday use

Personally, 749 = but then I owned one.

For many, it is the looks of the 748 that win out - but riding position, and more modern (plus I liked the look), won over for me.

I tried a 748 once, too much on your wrists and over the front wheel for my comfort.

I went for the 748, I just couldn't get on with that towered front headlight look.

It is heavy on the wrists, but you get used to it (mostly).

I would say 748 is the better option for weekend use - just put up with the pain and you'll have a nicer looking bike, more desirable if you ever come to sell, more iconic, will almost certainly become a sought after classic (thus appreciate more too) - especially if you can afford/find one of the limited editions.

The 749 is almost certain the easier bike to ride and live with and if you were needing an everyday bike I'd have suggested the 749 instead.

My money would go on the facelift 749.
