Full bike trackday. Anyone heading to this?

A long shot perhaps, but I put a post up last time I booked and sure enough I found a PH'er to hang around with on the day smile

£130 all in, head to the circuits website for more info.

I live quite near to Combe and have driven it in a car but never fancied it on a bike - is it any good?

I think the circuit is more suited to a car, but works pretty well on a bike too.

Had a hell of a lot of fun each time I've been.

I enjoy it on the bike, we had a good day up there last time apart from the weather.

Pebbles may even post a link to his Go-Pro footage...

Doh! Sorry mate, completely forgot! Too many trade unionists taking days off causing chaos with my work routine! One of the other lads was also asking. I'll get it done at some point this week.

My blade even with a standard exhaust won't pass the noise regs. Which is a shame as I am only 20 mins away.

They say a lot of bikes wont pass standard, but I've not seen many standard bikes fail. My GSXR 1000 with a yoshimura can passed fine, as did my old mans cb1300 with a micron can. 105db is a fairly reasonable limit. CQ8's 916 passed with termignonis on.

I shall try and get down one day when they have a TD and get my bike tested.

Worth a try

105db is fine and my blade with a Yoshi and no baffles blows 102-104db But castle come tes different to the other circuits.

IE not 1mtr at 5-6k which is standard at most circuits but not combe

It's 3/4 mtr in a little room with 3/4 revs so I believe

I May be wrong

No you're correct about the 3/4 limit, which I agree does seem excessive. Even my standard K1200 was measured at 100db despite seeming quiet most times.

If they're strict I won't have a hope with my RSV4 with unbaffled Austin Racing can!

Indeed, i have several of the things advertising £15 off, can dish them out if necessary.

Bikesafe at Combe was a bloody brilliant day too, good ride with the police and a great track session! Also had a quick chat with John McGuinness, cool guy in person too biggrin

Bump for interest.

Had a friend drop out, anyone else going?
