Another thumbs up for Rukka Armas. Did a Scotland tour earlier this year and rode through torrential rain, sleet, ice etc. Kept me 100% bone dry (apart from bottom of my belly, water must have been pushed up between top of trousers and bottom of jacket) and whilst not warm I wasn't suffering from the cold. Tough as old boots, comfortable, 6 year warranty etc. Not cheap but I'm expecting it to last a long time. Just be careful, there are two types. The garments are the same but the armour has been updated recently. Lots of places still have the old stock at the new prices. The new armour is D30. I upgraded my back protector to a Rukka specific Forcefield item.

I love my Rukka though -- streets ahead of the BMW kit, and not too much more money.
A Rukka Armas suit comes to around £1700.
Streetguard suit is around £900

Streetguard has the BMW equivalent of Goretex Proshell, and the details/features of the streetguard suit are 'streets' ahead of the Rukka. Ventilation, removable softshell jacket liner that can be used off the bike, storm collars etc are much better thought through. It's less stiff, and is more comfortable too with the huge variety of comfort/tall/regular sizing.

I've had both the Rukka and Streetguard suits - both were used for daily commuting and touring, and I thought the BMW kit was better value and offered more desirable features.

Right now, however, I'm a big fan of the Dainese kit - I think they've upped their game over the past 1-2 years, and their D-Explorer suit has been nothing short of brilliant.

Anyone recommend some textile trousers that are pro-shell Goretex but have a sports fit / cut?

I can't stand touring based kit that's baggy and flaps around.

I love my Wolf Titanium trousers... but they are no longer waterproof! frown
