I ride a Honda but I laugh so much when my brother sends me all the Honda hate pictures. lol..

I think Bikers Nem' owns a fireblade track bike so pay little heed. smile

On the subject matter...

The 600RR is not a great pillion bike. Nor is my Fireblade however for short runs they can be ok. Short legs will help your pillion beat the sport bike pillion seat cramp (in my mind at least)

Before taking pillions I would wait until you have a couple of months expirience and have a feel for the sport bike position.

Unless you have been riding before and used to taking people on the back. Also get your pillion to just go with the bike and not lean one way or another excessively.

Take it easy and enjoy the bike.

Man... The wait is killing me! All I seem to do when driving is see bikes and I want to be out there! Is this normal to have the bug before I've passed?!

I've got my leathers ( suit), just need to get helmet, gloves and boots next weekend hopefully. Haven't even got the bike yet - the garage are kindly keeping hold of it for another couple of weeks.

Roll on 21st August (better pass now... No pressure!)

Im considering doing DAS when I turn 24 in September. How did the complete novices in here get on with it?

Oh, nice bike and good luck OP!

I got the bug after passing my CBT in May biggrin

I've got my DAS tests in the coming few weeks. I passed my theory a few weeks ago, the waiting list for the tests is killing me - 6 weeks for the MOD2 frown

I like how you've already got your bike, how will you go if you fail any of the tests seeing as you've booked them all in fairly quick succession? Is there much of a waiting list in your area?

Yeah, I got bit carried away! I'm in Northampton and I don't think the wait is too bad - it's a big gamble on me passing first time to be fair! Other than the bike mocking me if I fail (hopefully being delivered tomorrow) I guess it's not the end of the world if I don't pass

Thank you! There are a couple of stickers that I want to take off (hairdryer?) and a few touch ups if the garage hasn't done them already

Re DAS - I'll let you know feedback from a novice in a couple of weeks!

I passed!

Had Mod 1 a couple of weeks ago, then Mod 2 this morning - haven't stopped looking at the clock so I can get home!

I'll give it a couple of months to get some road time then I think I'll go for the Enhanced Rider Scheme for some more tutoring

Well done. Took me a little while to get to the stage where I wasn't actively thinking about the controls, and to begin to learn to ride.

Have fun.

Had a few blasts this weekend - I can see myself getting a serious bug for this...

It does become obsessive when you first pass. I past mine in March this year, held off buying my bike until the end of July. Had it around 6 weeks now and I've clocked up 1200 miles. That is mainly from the short 20/30 mile runs at the weekend.

Need to get some milk or bread? I'll just take the bike. Which then ends up with you going to the shop the other side of town and taking the long way home.

Enjoy it. When everything clicks, there is nothing else like it.
