Only issue I know of is the regulator / rectifier issue. Chances are the original has been replaced by the later (more reliable) unit. Take the seat off and check the number stamped on top and google it.
You can fit a volt meter to check to see what the reg/rectifier is up to if it bothers you.
The hero blobs also can touch down with spirited riding which may take you by surprise.

I work 5 or so miles from sea houses, it's nice when it's sunny but it hasn't stopped raining since Sunday afternoonSeahouses, I think.

As long as it's not too windy all will be well.
Edit: it is nice & picturesque up there. I used have in-laws in Darlington & we'd travel up to the Cheviots to go climbing. Another ex was originally from a town called Ashington, which was interesting, but the countryside was lovely.
