Only issue I know of is the regulator / rectifier issue. Chances are the original has been replaced by the later (more reliable) unit. Take the seat off and check the number stamped on top and google it.

You can fit a volt meter to check to see what the reg/rectifier is up to if it bothers you.

The hero blobs also can touch down with spirited riding which may take you by surprise.

Will do cheers.

I'm probably unlikely to get the hero blobs touching down yet, if at all apart from possibly on mini-roundabouts. Mind you, the weather hasn't exactly been favourable for speedy cornering anyway.

I'm going there at the weekend. I'll keep my eyes open for a pair of doddery old fellas on motorcycles.

I work 5 or so miles from sea houses, it's nice when it's sunny but it hasn't stopped raining since Sunday afternoon

Forecast is for rain all week through the weekend too, bring your wellies

I'll bring my diving gear then.

As long as it's not too windy all will be well.

Edit: it is nice & picturesque up there. I used have in-laws in Darlington & we'd travel up to the Cheviots to go climbing. Another ex was originally from a town called Ashington, which was interesting, but the countryside was lovely.
