Hi All

Anyone recommended a rear paddock stand ? I'm aware they have stopped making the official one and the 1199 stand needs modifying to fit.

The R&G version looks solid but wanted to get a few opinions.

Thanks

Iain

I bought a Ducati Performance one because it came up on eBay cheap for my Multistrada 1200 - before that I was looking at a Harris one - not cheap but very good quality about £160 I think.

I have this one for my 1199. Fits great & rock steady.

Since it's a 1098 I'd say Abba stand! I think I still have the adapters that I used for my 848 which is the same frame as a 1098 etc.

Got me thinking: Do the 1199 bikes have a suitable pivot for an Abba stand?

I think you have to remove some of the fairing to put it on an abba stand

Smiler, do you have any fitment issues with the official one ?

I'm reading about a 40 or 42mm pin sizing on the ebay ones and wondered which to buy. Did sizing vary through the 1098/1198 models ?

The very early 1098 had a different sized hub. The later style 1098/1198 and 1199 all fit. They still make the paddock stand to fit the 1199 so pop to a local dealer and try one.

I bought a pin from ducati that converts the 848 sized pin to the larger 1199 style one. I believe the same is possible for the early 1098 bikes

Yep, after a good chat with a Ducati dealer we established the first year or so of 1098's had a spindle size of 42mm and then they changed to 40mm.

Managed to find a stand with a 42mm, thanks for all the help.
