What happened to the good old days of taking our shirts off and wrestling over an argument then hugging it out and becoming best friends?

Anyone else imagining themselves in the same position, just chucking the milk up in the air, turning round and legging it back up the aisles with Jobsworths in pursuit? You could do motorbike noises and everything!

Or maybe flipping down the visor and shouting "come fking on then!", (MTB style)!

Offtopic slightly (and I agree with you ref taking helmet off so don't kill me!) but what the hell does custard mean? Someone literally posted 'custard' on my thread and I've never seen that on a forum before confused

If you doubt a poster that's making a claim you ask for custard in a photo as proof that this is him, his car. Lap time etc
Not quite.

Calling "custard" on something suggests it's been made up. Simple. F/all to do with providing a photo with some Birds in it...

I'm more imagining myself apologizing, popping the helmet off, paying for my milk and leaving rather than going through "I have a right to wear a helmet" escapade.

The whole point of calling custard was to provoke the person making the alleged tall tales to take a photo with at in of custard to provide validity to their claim.
E.g I've got a Vincent black shadow
Custard was the reply
Photo provided with tin of birds on the saddle if true, skulking off never to be seen again if false.
I first saw it on the Barryboys website.

Custard. Prove that you saw it on the Barryboys website.

Edit - it's Friday afternoon, i've done all my work for the week and the only reason i am still here at work is because a few people owe me a pint for the work i've done for them this week.

Well done you!

I'm afraid I would do the very british/middle class thing of apologising, remove my helmet and buy my stuff.

I would then go home moan to everybody else and if I was feeling really pretentious, write to the telegraph in protest.

Better still, start shopping in waitrose and get said paper free! Scoff

I can't believe I missed the opportunity to tell MTB to shut the fk up before I kicked his in, before he got banned. Gutted.

Now MTB's gone, can I start a thread about how great my R1200GS is, and how my capacious topbox gives me somewhere to put my lid when entering retail premises ?

Mtb can obviously still read BB. He's just texted me explaining that he is sorry for losing the rag earlier, but he is going through some stuff. Some personal stuff. He said from now on he would prefer to be known as Alexis, and if any big biker hunks are looking for a slim, feminine pillion then he (soon to be she) is available.

I'm with the store on not wanting people in their stores wearing helmets, irrespective of whether they are full, flip or pisspot ones.

There has to be more to this story than we're being told. I can't imagine 7 staff just surrounding him for no reason, Prather than the helmets. Maybe some words were exchanged at the checkout.
I hope they ask the Group 4 chaps collecting the takings to remove their helmets. (And any wooden top plod that enter the store!)
