Racing Silly Season - Who's Going Where For 2017?

Is Cechinello a drip?I really don't get it. Saddled with Miller and Crutch one year and then Crutch for a further two.
At least De Puniet and Bradl had form on the satellite RCVs. Aleix would have been a far better choice than Cal, at least he rides hard and doesn't give up.

I believe Crutchlow can still maintain a credible run where he is fighting a whole season for top satellite honours and taking podiums here and there. Perhaps, he has Honda support on this? They will know the most about he has handled the bike relative to the factory outfit and relative to the problems that the RCV has been giving Marquez, for instance.
If the discussion was about Aleix Espagaro staying with Suzuki would you be as complimentary? I think the "British rider" rose tinted glasses are firmly on at the moment. Wings are going in 2017.

I don't think wings are the only thing that makes the Ducatis half decent MotoGP bikes. http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/231617/1/motogp-b...

In that discussion, I would view them as independent riders, in two quite different teams. Possibly, it is some part Brit rider support, but then I have been more critical of Crutchlow (and Esparago) than any other Brit rider. In comparing them, and their current situation, I genuinely believe Crutchlow is the better rider; he has more chance of giving LCR and their sponsors the profile of a podium (which I assume they want before consistent 7th 8th finishes) than Espargaro has in progressing the development of both the Suzuki bike and team. Both seem to be riders whose main weakness is a lack self belief and confidence, and they are both prone to losing concentration because of this.
I'm not seeing it. Crutchlow has been in MotoGP for a long time, how many podiums has he had in that time? I'd be looking at the Moto2 riders for next year, rather than keep rebuilding the bike two or three times each weekend. snorky782 said:

8 podiums including a couple of 2nds. On the Yam, he came pretty close to beating Marquez to finally finish 2nd at that hairy sachs place.Honda know how quick he is on that bike and also value his development input.

6 years in MotoGP and 8 podiums is not a great record. His Yamaha days are a long time ago too. He's about a billion items better than I'll ever be, but at the top level, I'm not convinced. I'm not sure how you see him as fast in Himda's eyes. If he was that good he'd have the second factory seat. He is quick at falling off though. Honda know how quick he is on that bike and also value his development input.
