Still a seat free at Hawk. If Brookes has ruled himself out, then Bridewell is a logical option......saying that so would Hickman be. Especially if they want to run two bikes on the roads.

Another one with history at Hawk Racing.....

Any ideas where the Buildbase money is going next year or are they removing all sponsorship?

There's no salary structure and sometimes wages make little sense against what you'd think

As far as I've seen Buildbase appear to still be a sponsor for Hawk/Suzuki.
also... Hicky has history with the Hickens so he might still have a chance of a second seat at Hawk. Plus if my memory serves me well he had a couple of races a few years back on a GSXR...not that changing bikes seems to disturb him after he's done OK on Fireblades, ZX10s and S1000Rs.

Think pete is still undecided but has offers on the table.

He has had very very good offers from big roads teams but he wants bsb ride too.

Buildbase money will probably be on a third hawk suzuki. Looking like Tmac on a superbike (undecided on if it will be main bennets team or buildbase 3rd bike) Lee J still in running too.

Brookes fall from grace could be complete and could end up on a toth yamaha in wsbk....

Last I saw from press releases Bennetts money moved with Suzuki to the Hawk team and Taylor was in Superstock again? I understand it's a two bike team in Superbike, One Superstock and One Supersport, although I could be wayyyyyy off (not unusual).

A third BSB bike could be very interesting in Buildbase colours.

I heard Taylor McKenzie on the other superbike with Richard Cooper dropping down into Superstock 1000.

Also new rule changes for superstock 1000 next year - http://www.motorcyclenews.com/sport/british-superb...
I don't know why they didn't just go for the standard 2 races like everyone else gets? The quality of the racing is always good with the current format, it just needs more coverage

They don't want the Stockers out shining the main show which is why the coverage has been limited.

I know that, but with the amount of big names in it next season they need to increase the coverage, not add 100 mile races with pit stops - it's unfair on a lot of the privateer teams if nothing else, it will increase the costs for a season quite a bit. I know a few people who race in it and none seem to be impressed with the change

Exactly why they added this format they want to lower the grid numbers Superstocks isn't a class they want to see full grids on, when I heard these proposals & the reason for it (to make the running costs closer to BSB therefore luring teams back to the main show) I just gave up it's now got to the point where Higgs & MSVR are doing their best to kill off BSB.

Would a super stock team have access to the funding to move up to bsb.

I thought super stock was a slightly cheaper way to get on the bsb package.

Anyone got any bridewell news?

It's a shame, it gives some of the best racing. Agree, I can't see BSB lasting much longer the way things are going with it.

Superstock is a much cheaper way. The bike costs ~£25k vs >£65k for a superbike, and then there's the running costs, you need a lot of staff to run a superbike team.

With the 600s supposedly going in 2018 I thought they would be promoting superstock 1000 as much as possible

Unfortunately I have the same feeling. On the flip side WSB seems to be slowly gathering momentum.

Whatever happens we need to embrace it. It can't be to long before bikes go towards more electric power the same as car racing is furious

BSB has one simple problem and it's not Higgs or Palmer, it's Paul Bird and Shakey Byrne. Until someone can stop Bird throwing obscene amounts of money at his team, and it really is obscene compared to what most can do. Secondly until Byrne retires there really is no point in others competing. I know he's only won it every other year, but every time someone beats him, they vanish to WSB and he wins it the following year. The challenge really isn't there from any other team, even Haslam struggled to compete against him.

The support races have been better racing and closer fought for a few years now, but don't think that SS1000 is a cheap place to race, even that usually requires a rider to buy a seat for upwards of £50000 a year, so they have to have a day job to feed themselves.
