Brookes confirmed at Anvil Tag Yam.

Will the bike be competitive enough to run at the front?

Bridewell put the Supersonic BMW in the showdown a few years ago and was instantly competitive on the Hassal Kawasaki, so there's no reason he shouldn't do well right from the off.
With Brookes and his ride it's being reported that the bike and team is getting no support from Yamaha as it's all going to TTvC Macaams...Personally I think that Ellison doest have a championship in him however the right support Brooke does.

According to a twitter piece from one of the bike mags Bryne doesn't give a shot about Brooke return....!

I can't believe that brookes has returned to make up the numbers on a uncompetative bike.

Riding for a salary is obviously a lot harder than it would seem.

Meanwhile his beaten team mate from last year has been bought another MotoGP ride by his daddy.

(he's actually better than some but he's not MotoGP better)

I don't understand this viewpoint. What's the real difference between a rider with money behind him from family and a rider with money behind him from sponsors?

Trouble is he's ballsed up any chance of playing salary hard ball in the future by taking what could be a desperation seat on a inferior bike ( hopefully i'll be proven wrong and he'll make shakey work for the title)

I know what you mean, but if he does run Shakey close, it could be worth the gamble. Theory looks solid - same bike, same rules - just need to get team working together.....

You need to prove yourself or get very lucky to get a sponsor that good. Family money could buy you seat without doing much of it.

Not for very long though, as much as people slate Abraham he can cut it at the top level and not embarrass himself. The last year he had in MotoGP should be ignored due to the serious injuries he had.

Thinking On Brookes ride and the bikes competitiveness Am I mis remembering, but didn't TAG tune and prepare a BSS Winning Triumph 675 a fee years ago? If I do remember correct then isn't this evidence that they can/may turn out competitive (BSB) bike?

Their bikes didn't do much last year though, and without support from Yamaha I can't see that changing.

I really rate Brookes as a rider but think he'll struggle, if an ex-Moto Gp rider like Hopkins couldn't do much on the same bike last year(yes, I know THM were a new team last year and Anvil should have more data etc), can't see Brookes having much more luck, particularly with new or updated bikes from the other Jap manufacturers this year.

Even Brock Parkes said the R1 he rode a few times last year(with little support) was very different from the Milwaukee bike that benefitted from a load of Yamaha help.

Parkes said he really liked last year's bike and hated the Milwaukee one.

I wonder how much data brookes has from his time on the milwaukee yam?

Unlike hopkins brookes is quite handy with the spanners so fingers crossed he's a complete nerd who has note books full of his old settings for the tracks.
