I'm hopeless at them, my brother could ride about on his back wheel all day, it's impressive to watch tbh. I'd suggest the majority are aware of the risks on a bike, you can't help but not be when you're the crumple zone.

I bet he got laid that evening smile
Nice control. Autoplay on YT just shows a constant stream of wheelie fails after that.

Personally, I love wheelies. Although a time and place for them, like on the continent with empty roads:

Personally I don't get any wheelie fail videos smile

I don't have a bike licence because I'd probably kill myself trying to do a wheelie but I admire the people who can do it! As long as the roads quiet where it's being done why not have some fun?

I can keep it up and moving at a constant 145 mph according to others.
Is that like the mile high club? How long does it stay up for, out of interest, at your age?
Just kidding, that's too much information.

I'd love to be able to do a deliberate and controlled wheelie, but the only times have been over the mountain at Cadwell and I don't like how the bars waggle when the front end comes up; what if the wheel's pointing askew when it comes down? It didn't happen but each time I wondered that.

More than enough too put your hips out and make your eyes water.

Wheelies are big and clever. It's just the way of things.

A guy I used to ride with in Oz fitted a headlight under his bike so we could see him in our mirrors, so often was he on only one.

To who ever it was who thought pulling 2 massive wheelies last night in the M1 (north j5) at 100mph with only jeans and a tshirt on was clever, well done. Well done for being a D.
I have never got threads like this where the OP assumes that the person they're talking about is on here and in this forum. Its like going into the General Gassing forum and crying about some tt in an Audi who cut you up at a roundabout then went on and ran a red light. Completely pointless.

I wish I could do a wheelie properly. I might be able to finish a whole pint myself that day
Same here frown

I could do them (little ones) quite easily on my R1 but I can't do them at all on my F4.
Very disappointing.

Been riding since Thatcher's first government but I've never learned to wheelie - if it happens I always put the front wheel back on the road, sharpish. Which was a good thing when I was racing because wheelies slow you down and the race organiser gives you a telling off. But now I think perhaps I want to wheelie. Is it too late to learn? I reckon it would be hard to fight the instinct to put the wheel down...old dogs and new tricks etc.
