I was just thinking the same thing. I avoid the car sections because of all the f***wits who just want to argue for the sake of arguing but this section is getting just as bad.

There’s nothing wrong with a healthy debate, but why do so many threads end up being quite personal? Sometimes its just better to step away from the keyboard if it can’t be kept civil

I'll stand by a previous observation of mine - it's very very very cliquey in here. That seems to create a lot of arselicking of certain members, and I reckon it's why you're in the st if you upset the "top table".

In all seriousness, I certainly don't feel part of any clique, but I have met a lot of the blokes on here, and they're alright guys. I still argue with them sometimes on here, but it's just banter, and we're blokes, so banter can be harsh.

We really need less threads like this, I'm not saying don't raise a problem to the collective (as that's a good thing I think), but I am saying try and bear in mind this is just words on a screen. If a clique has formed the reason is most likely because they see past the fkwittery, because they have met the guy. Not because they're a group of aholes on sportsbikes (that is incidental).

One last thing, I'd wager not one of the fellas who comes across as a nobber on here would leave you by the side of the road with your bike, and you could leave your wallet and phone next to them at a track day safe in the knowledge they wouldn't touch it, and that is fking rare these days. I think once you realise and understand that, you'll not take this stuff so personally.

I think there needs to be an admissions policy here.
To post in BB you need to be proposed by a member, seconded by 15 members and not blackballed by any other members. Then you're on a 9 year "prospect" course, to see how you do and see if you're a keeper and involves in depth testingon what bike should someone get next,the optimum tyres for a tt or what glove should some keep his wan\nking hand in??.
Lets be honest, every they've let in here since 1672 has turned out to be a Northern Mithering fknut or a softarse shandy supping Southern wker or more usually something in between. Look at me for example!! fk!!!
Oh,and you actually need the HAVE or RIDDEN a bike and hold a current license to be here, non of these Card driving turd lickers who swan in here from the shyte hole that is General Gassing and think they're hard enough..

It's not so much cliquey, it's just in jokes for groups that meet up regularly & communicate elsewhere too.

You should come on a NW rideout, no I don't think you'll keep up with the front runners. But that doesn't matter, most people can't. Hell I think one lad turned up on a 125 & had a good day ffs. Plus once you meet them you realise that BN is as gay as he posts, Loon is just as much of a tt & Jazoli is a grumpy old man they are all decent folks. Except for Yazza, but then he is ginger.

I don't have a big ego, I'm not that fast, I regularly take the piss, if folks don't see this or get the point I'm trying to make then I don't really care, I've not made any personal digs at anybody, just a mild rant about almost everybody, it just seems that some people take themselves far too seriously, I have been known to feed the flames a bit, along with a couple of others, just for fun, and to get a reaction, as this forum is dull as anything some days.
