Thanks for all the posts.
No, it wasn't one of those situations where the road was not what it seemed. I know the road well and the most likely reason for the poor road craft was frustration. The road is a great biking road, plagued with any number of cars doing 35 and then slowing down more for every corner. It is annoying but there are a number of places where it is easy to overtake multiple vehicles and crack on, there is no need to chance it like that. This time of year with the hedgerows most of the corners are blind. Different ballgame in winter.
Thanks for the bio hebegb, I'm not that nice or well behaved really, only to you, lol.

Don't take it so personally hebegebe, you know I'm not having a go at anyone I've ever met off here. Perhaps Loon or similarly suitably informed can confirm whether it is the born again ( ) bikers that are high risk?
I also find it very patronising that just by virtue of age it somehow qualifies an opinion. It doesn't, I see it all the time in my line of work and unfortunately bikers are no different. But let's not turn this into a typical GG thread, we are both capable of having a debate and still afterwards.
PS - I was preparing to overtake the next lorry. Perhaps you can't see that far ahead these days...

Glad you saw this bit in the manner it was intended ( amicable ) and , everybody is entitled to an opinion , not beacause of , but regardless of age , which indeed has no bearing on the merits of that opinion, and as for the lorry some half mile ahead still , which , incidentally I overtook before you ,without weaving , nothing wrong with reading the road waaaay waaaay ahead ,before the would be "whipper snappers" have worked out what day it is I also find it very patronising that just by virtue of age it somehow qualifies an opinion.
