I'm not defending the move at the corner, I'm just saying he didn't take a huge long lunge from miles back as the commentary team said because Espargaro follows him all the way.

I'm sort of with you. On 2nd viewing they all got backed up behind Lorenzo and caught out those operating at 100%. Miller had to a 'double or quits' type move or plough into the back of Cal. Definitely have an accident or possibly have an accident - either way it was his fault.

An apology.

JACK MILLER
“I’m happy with the weekend, but of course not happy with the result of the race. I want to say a big sorry to Cal for taking him out, but we were both pushing hard. I didn’t actually mean to overtake him, I was just trying to hold Espargaro off on the brakes and accidently went too deep and touched him. It was an accident, but all in all it was a good weekend as we found some settings with the bike we became more comfortable with and I’m looking forward to Misano

And it seems Cal is very forgiving too.

CAL CRUTCHLOW
“Obviously, I’m really disappointed, we could have done a great race today, I thought I had the pace to be with the winner. I felt really comfortable this morning in the rain and I felt really comfortable in the race, but these things happen. Jack is young, he was near to the front in a MotoGP race and made an ambitious move. He made a mistake, he apologized and I have accepted his apology. I’ve done it before and I’m sure I will do it again—this is racing, but obviously I was very disappointed

I can imagine these are exact quotes in the "dressing room". I never understood why people bother with post race interviews, they are contrived garbage.

I'm sure you're correct, and if we could see Cal during the interview I'm also quite sure he would be talking through gritted teeth and spitting feathers . wink

I am always remember of seeing this poetic post match interview and how a slant is put on everything when it couldn't be further from the truth.

id imagine harsh words were exchanged in a similar fashion to the above.

Crutchlow has been his own worst enemy throughout his career with being a gobby tt. Maybe he's learned that this one year deal could be his last unless he shuts up and toes the party line.

Miller is a factory Honda contracted rider and the sort of person he needs on his side in 12 months time.

Caught up with the race last night for moto gp.
Brill win for rossi, bit of a mad lunge from miller , feel for Cal but going back out on a bike not fit for the conditions was a little silly.

Interesting when Lorenzo came back in and his helmet was fogged up and the comment from Julian about the yam boys being told about helmet brands fit for purpose

All to play for now , makes for interesting racing

I thought the same watching it, then remembered that the race day ticket was £100! That was the main reason I didn't go tbh.
We paid 79euro for Catalunya for weekend ticket with grandstand seats

He has been re-signed by LCR for 2016, but yes he says some fairly daft things in interviews. If anyone shouldn't give interviews post race, its him. he should have his PR person talking to him in an ear piece!

Also like the statement saying he thinks he had the pace to match the winner. You just didn't Cal.

I know he's been resigned for 2016, that's the one year deal I mentioned and why he'll need someone like Miller on his side in 12 months.

That comment about the "non-premium" brands - not sure who made it (Moody or Huewen) but someone in the background sounded like they were choking or spitting their coffee out. That fogging up was piss poor though.

We went on saturday for the qualifying. Got to the gate and the prices on the website were for advanced tickets only so it was actually £60 for qualifying day and £140 for race day!!!
It was good to see them in action though and it was great seeing Marquez sliding the final corner onto the start/finish straight. Danny Kent and Sam Lowes both got huge cheers with their quali times and Bradley got a big cheer too which was nice.

Some st phone pictures -

Im famous! Was on the TV coverage wearing my Rossi hat and Chive BGM T-shirt. I can do autographs for anyone interested.

Slight correction, it wasn't £100 if you got them in advance.

You can get a weekend grandstand ticket for £100 at the moment.

If you leave it last minute yes, far cheaper if you get them in advance.

Just get next years tickets now, £100 for the whole weekend in a grandstand
