Hi guys, I ma selling my bike but just wanted to know which way you have all found the best way to sell your bikes? There's basically eBay, Biketrader, MCN and owners forums.

It's £15 to put it on eBay but is it a waste to pay extra for Bikettrader or MCN?

I'm presuming most people looking for bikes check eBay? I always got the impression that Biketrader was for Traders and MCN was more private sellers?

Hear from you soon!

fk Gumtree. Full of scammers. Complete waste of time in my opinion.

What value is the bike?

Below £2k go for gumtree, above try ebay.

Bike trader, PH etc are a waste of time IMHO; I would never look there so I don't expect others to either.

Good description, plenty of photo's, no stupid "first to see will buy/eats fireblades for breakfast/not for the faint hearted" statements.

MCN got the best results when I sold a sub £2k bike.

EBay. Classified ad rather than auction format.

Plenty of good quality photos.
Sensible price.
Honest write up detailing it's history, good points/extras and any issues.
Make sure it has 10+ months MOT.

Worked every time for me.
