The problem I seem to have with off the peg is the length from the shoulder to the crotch, if that makes sense. Arms and legs are fine but they are too short in the body (it's not my massive schlong, I tuck that down the leg). I'm 6'4" though so anything made for little Italian men is no good.

I spent a while trying on different suits, RST came the closest to a good fit but just wasn't right. I went with a custom made suit in the end from BKS which is excellent.

Having just done a trackday in 30 degree plus temps, I do fancy a vented set so may have another go at trying a load on.

I think I'm lucky that they break in Ok for me, at least the RST set did. I'll see how these get on. It's annoying that I'm such a tart and don't like leathers that are dark. White looks great to start with, but gets dirty quickly and then it looks crap.

I know what you mean about dark leathers. White has definitely grown on me. Can't you train your butler to keep them clean?

Nice choice! I have the same leathers but the 2 piece.

Agree with you on dark leathers (although it's my first set in any case), but the white/light colours are awesome. I think the 1 piece you've got has some funky mesh venting on the back also but that might be the atem? Is there anyway to stop them fading/losing their colour?

It's the Atem thats got the funky mesh around the nape of the neck.

These are pretty good. it's not that they fade, it's that they get dirty very quickly and I'm not one for constantly cleaning them, even paying someone local to do them is a hassle, as the leathers are never there just when you need them. My RST ones are an absolute mess now just through heavy road and track use and a couple of spills.

Ahh it's the Atem, wasn't sure if the 1 piece was different to the two piece.

Yeah I don't clean mine at all other than trying to wipe the bugs off them. One long ride and you have a fly graveyard which on the white is super obvious. Good to hear they're unlikely to fade, I have a pair of REVIT gloves with the kangaroo leather and they seem to be fading already after a few months. (Or at least my attempt at cleaning them isn't very good biggrin )

Depends why you're using to clean them. I used to use some horse saddle stuff that my ex bought for her horsey stuff. It's brilliant as it's designed specifically for leather, but I can't be arsed anymore. I don't subscribe to the stitch rotting bks either. I can't see that they'd design something to rot stitching when saddles are held together with stitches too.

Saddle soap should be fine, but depending on the type, it can froth and put unsightly gungy foam in the perforations. It's more the oil that rots stitching. I use Urad for my leathers, got it at the NEC bike show.

It arrived today, so pretty quick shipping. Leathers are everything I expected and feel like a quality product, I hope I don't have to test them out, other than riding in them. They'll need wearing in around the house, but I think my diet will need to have been a bit more successful before then. I'll save these for next year though given the time of year were at and the RST ones will probably remain as my trackday wear until I crash them into oblivion!

Another great thing is that it's got some elbow sliders on it, to save me wearing through the leather on the arms. These will obviously be used at pretty well every corner of every racetrack that I go to whistle

I got a free gift so went for what I thought was a bumbag. I got the thing on the link below. If anyone has any idea what it is, other than a pretty feeble and cushioned cummerbund then let me know

You only need to read the review to get the picture. Here it is, for those who can't be arsed to click on links:

Produkt ist wie beschrieben. Gefällt mir gut und entspricht einem guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis

Simples.

I can speak German, this is genuinely without using any form of web translator

"The product is as described. I'm happy and in accordance with a good price / discount level"

Still no idea what it is though.

Ok. I've never been good at blagging.
Apparently a kidney belt provides warmth and support to the lower back, such as when rider jacket rides up. Given that you've just bought a leather onesie from them, this item seems superfluous.

Arse biscuits. That'll teach me to spend more time reviewing the options available as a free gift, rather than assuming I know what it is.
