Who is doing bikey things?

I should have been dropping the R1 at swindon this weekend I think but I'm not going now :|

So this weekend will consist of shopping for a different holiday and a rest after having 1 day off in the last 12.

Roll on next weekend where I will be sunning myself.

Ride tonight - nowhere in mind.
Take a mate shopping for some bikey clothing tomorrow then go for a ride.
Might go for a quick run Sunday morning.

Spent yesterday afternoon adjusting the suspension on the Brutale; so I'm really keen to see how she rides when the suspension isn't wound up to super hard. I don't think my spine could have taken much more frown

So hopefully getting some riding in this afternoon biggrin

Down to the seaside to watch the Brighton Speed Trials tomorrow smile it was mad enough doing it in my single seater a few years ago (GSXR1100WP engined hillclimb car, best run of 11.6 at 121mph) so I have utmost respect for the 8 second bike runs eek

Would love to be doing bikey things.

However following on from a series of meetings all day (this is the lull in the day), I have a call with a five-times astronaut tonight (!) and then the weekend trying to spend some time with family and having to do the work needed to keep the whole pool and research project on schedule.

Every now and again I get subsumed with how much there is to do and then have a positive meeting like this mornings, when someone says - 'but you are planning the world's largest and deepest pool - and you'll be doing astronaut training' and then I get hyper again.

Bike is more about travel than enjoyment for now...

Off sick from work today due to an upper respiratory tract infection (aka "a cold"). The continual coughing and head pain has put the dampers on my weekend plans which included examining the extra 3500rpm yesterday's first service of my new gsxr had liberated.

Accuweather is making me feel a bit better about it though. Today's weather is officially 'dreary', and who wants to go out in that? So I'm watching 'TT: Closer to the Edge' and thinking about going back to the IoM next year.
