Depending on where you are based and what time suits you, look at Seville, Gibraltar and Malaga

I'm based Surrey, flying Gatwick to Seville, others are flying Manchester to Malaga
Nice one, ta. I'm Midlands based so almost anywhere works for me, will probably be Stanstead or Manchester. Will research them today.

New is always more fun. Circuit de Andalucia is apparently proper new so no-one has done a trackday there yet.
I've booked there for the end of January. Will be interesting to see what it's like.

Will be booking Cartagena for March too I think

Looks like No Limits has released some 2016 Autumnal dates at Aragon and Catalunya.

What's Catalunya like then? Never done it, just know it as the circuit with red painted bit. A bit heavier on the holiday what Mon to Wed on track.

In the interests of balanced reporting (!) Focused have released a Mugello date. Focused Meh!

Just need BikersDays to extract their finger on some Spa dates now so I can do some planning & booking stuff.

Does anyone go away on a Euro trip and take their Mrs who doesn't ride? What do you do in that situation with regards to accommodation?

Do people just book up their own place and ditch the accommodation included in the TD price?

Let the trackday operator know and they will sort it out and charge you for the +1

NL and Tracksense charge you very reasonable rates, but FE can charge quite a premium on single rooms and extra nights. Beware.

My personal opinion but I thought NL's charges were pretty steep all things considered. I would have expected a double bed so couldn't see why there was an extra £48 or so quid per night.

To who asked the question above personally I'd drop taking the missus. Mine wasn't keen, and in the end I cancelled the TD as it worked out the same cost to go to the carribean than 4 days in spain.

Just IMO

How many days on track did you do in the Carribean?

None, my point was don't bother taking the bird. Leave her indoors.

Agree. There must be some decorating that needs doing ...

The rooms are normally booked based on mates sharing, so generally twin rooms. It keeps the cost down. If you want a double room you have to pay the subsidy

Partners going is fine if they have an interest in bikes and don't mind helping with tyre warmers and doing the coffee run, otherwise 3 days by the track could be a bit boring for them

Taking the missus costs an extra £200 for room and flights, little bit cheaper than going to the Caribbean. As you haven't done any euro trips, maybe don't give advice about them Scott wink

I must say, I've been looking for holidays to the Caribbean recently and they certainly cost more than a budget return flight and a room for 3/4 nights.

I know taking the Mrs isn't ideal, but she would probably come to the track for one of the days, sit around and twist and then go shopping or something the other days.

She'll probably hate it and then not bother asking to come along if I book any more, bonus

I personally don't take my missus, but lots of people do. Depending on what your missus likes to do, some trips are better than others. Valencia has shopping, Portimao has the beach, Jerez has a nice hotel/pool/spa, Brno has a lovely city and shopping, Aragon has nothing etc etc. So before you decide where to take her, ask us, as between us we have done most of them.

Thanks Neil, that's some handy info and I'll probably ask again before confirming anything.
