Depending on where you are based and what time suits you, look at Seville, Gibraltar and Malaga

I'm based Surrey, flying Gatwick to Seville, others are flying Manchester to Malaga
Still very excited.

Booked LGW to SVQ as well, leaving Friday afternoon and returning Monday night.

A few quick questions (I guess could/should send NL, but thought other newbies might have the same question):

- How far in advance do we drop the bikes off, is the drop-off location in Swindon?
- Should we bring our own tie downs?
- Any space for leathers/track gear/etc.?
- Can we pack-up the bike for the return journey on Monday afternoon/evening?
- How long does it take to bring the bikes bike?

Thanks! Dan

Drop off is near Swindon, normally the Sat morning before the weekend. Bring your own tie downs and clear shrink wrap.

Plenty of space for bike stands, leathers, spare wheels etc if you're ingenious at packing. It does help if you know who you're sharing your crate with. If it's the new RSV4 and the girlie isn't going see if you can request a single crate (there's only a few btw).

Pack the bike up when you want - it's 'your' crate for the trip. Crashed, broken bikes get packed early as well as those dashing for earlier flights.

Collection from same place the Saturday after the event.

I must say, I've been looking for holidays to the Caribbean recently and they certainly cost more than a budget return flight and a room for 3/4 nights.

I know taking the Mrs isn't ideal, but she would probably come to the track for one of the days, sit around and twist and then go shopping or something the other days.

She'll probably hate it and then not bother asking to come along if I book any more, bonus

I personally don't take my missus, but lots of people do. Depending on what your missus likes to do, some trips are better than others. Valencia has shopping, Portimao has the beach, Jerez has a nice hotel/pool/spa, Brno has a lovely city and shopping, Aragon has nothing etc etc. So before you decide where to take her, ask us, as between us we have done most of them.
Simple, if you fancy taking your mrs to a an affordable foreign track day, do Anglesey.

My o/h loved it. laugh

Snetterton on Saturday was grim. Great weather all week and of course it turns pants on Saturday so I bailed on the track session.

Bit fed up so just looking at a spur of the moment trip. The FE session in Cartagena next week is a possibility, at least the weather looks great.

Anyone attending the same session, or been to Cartagena, any thoughts?

Just do it - you'll enjoy it , great little circuit , quite difficult to learn and challenging , ultimately rewarding for that reason ...
Not quite so Mickey Mouse as some ( who've never been there) seem to imagine , BSB have done several years pre-season tests there - make your own mind up I suggest.
Hard to get the first right turn off start finish straight right , takes a while to carry the speed in necessary to get you round to the left without losing your speed - got to use every inch of track ......it's fun .

Danny Buchan is a bit handy round there : enjoy .

I thought it was an Inters group as he was flying through the group and some of the cornering and lines looked a bit ropey, but to then see him blitz Dave like that shows just how fast he really was!

The transport left yesterday for the ferry. Think I'll stick with the one in January.

Sounds good to me.

Is Spa like Le Mans in the sense that you organise the transport and hotel yourself, and just pay the organiser for the time on track?
