Jon, you and the boys doing Hungaroring with NL?????
Nope. Only 2 out of our group (me and Rich) could make it as it's mid family holiday season (the reason it's struggling to sell out). The flights weren't cheap, the garages were extra money, it has a reputation for being underused and dusty, I'm short on holiday, washing my hair that weekend etc etc.

You and Simon go for it if you can because I forsee NL not offering it again (bit like Misano) if they think they'll catch a cold on it and if you get over the above worries (hair aside) then a half full Hungaroring, tons of track time, beer at a Euro a go then it could be awesome.

Next euro one we are booked on is Catalunya in October which sold out quite quick. The boys are talking about some UK dates to fill the gap but I must confess to a certain lack of enthusiasm there.

Enjoy Portimão!

i really wanted to do portimao this year but everyone i spoke to said it rains pretty often so for some reasonthat put me off. Looks a great circuit like a rollercoaster.
Im off to almeria in october for 4 days to finish off this years track riding. Ill probably do one of the more expensive moto gp tracks next year rather than 2 of the cheaper ones like this year. Im fancying mugello or aragon but both look like theyl blow my old 600 up with their straights.

Mckean have you used tracksense before? ive booked almeria with them, are they any good? im assuming its pretty similar setup to no limits for the running of the trip.
It does Rain at Portimao a lot. ALOT. I only booked this one as the long range forecast looked decent. As it is, it's not stopped raining since I booked, but due to dry up tomorrow and be nice for 3 days so fingers crossed.

Tracksense are very good. NL are my favourite, but Tracksense do a great trip too

What are the overseas events like for total novices with absolutely no ability?

I would do a uk day first to make sure you like it.

There's still a novice group abroad, although I guess there are few total novices so the pace might be slightly faster than a UK day.
