This is not bull st, humberside police have become almost obsessed with catching speeding motorcycles. The tractor was used on Sunday near Sledmere. It's not just speeding, they pull you for not having e-marking on exhaust, number plates etc. It is usually dealt with by £100 fines for each offence. They are rarely in marked cars or on marked bikes.
I live near a traffic officer and he even feels that it is immoral although he makes out that it is done through 'Safer Roads Humberside' although it was definately a police officer operating the speed camera.

I'm a longstanding member on here but don't bother posting on here mainly because there's dicks like LoonR1, I'm sure chillo will post a pic of his garage if he really feels the need,I wouldn't blame him if he didn't though,he could possibly even post some with my garage on before you start yawning at me again, maybe I could get a pic of the ticket for speeding for when you move onto that as well?

Speed Cameras are supposed to be used only at accident black spots, if it makes you slow down 50m before and after, then it has done its job, the police and 'safer roads humberside' are putting them along safe areas where they are pretty much guaranteed to catch 50% of the traffic speeding and where there have been zero accidents. Their operation Achilles is self funding and the more revenue they get the more kit they buy to covertly catch speeders.
Pity they aren't doing the same for burglary or assault in the area which they tend to not follow up on

If Chillio is bullstting about his garage he gets a gold medal for consistent delusions and double gold star for effort as he looking at his posting history he does post a lot on the topic of the 1299 and the Ferrari 430. He also posted YouTube footage of him (or not?) at Cadwell on the 1299 (see the 1299 thread) and when they finished there was a link to (apparently) his 430 at the Nurburgring.

I said nice garage, although I'll admit to being a bit dubious of it. I'll stand corrected on that.

I 100% stand by the fact that the tractor photos are bullst. I don't couldn't care less how many people claim their mate got done by it, or whatever. For example, I got flashed on the M25 yesterday. It was awesome, as I was inverted at the time.

Somebody needs to find some proof that this tractor exists. Nobody has shown any proof at all. There is nothing from any of the dozens of credible media sources and a Google search for "hide speed camera hundpberside" shows this thread amd the phot form Facebook amd nothing else.

If it's true, then I'll pay your mates speeding ticket. In fact if ten people provide incontrovertible proof of it, then I'll pay for them too. Incontrovertible proof is not "much mate got a speeding ticket yesterday from it"

Tell you what. Come back when you can be a bit more civil. I'm looking forward to your photoshopped efforts, I'm sure they'll be as good as the 175mph on the back straight at Cadwell.

LoonR1, the tractor was only out at the weekend for the first time I believe , watch look north tomorrow night and you will hopefully get more proof. It has been kept a secret even within the police force force some reason.
The few highway police officers that I know seem embarrassed about the way the force is acting to raise funds from speeding bikes .
I can categorically guarantee that this is real.

Let's say for one minute it's true. What purpose can it serve, other than to alienate the locals? It won't stop speeding, it won't deter speeding and it's a complete waste of money in leasing a very expensive piece of agricultural equipment at a time when budgets are very stretched. In fact, if it is true then I'm happy to front a campaign around misuse of police assets when they seem reluctant to investigate the theft of that sort of equipment from farms.

I just can not see it being true. That's not to say they won't spend a fortune on speed enforcement, just not hiding it in a tractor.

Let's keep the Cadwell claims in the other thread. I'm impressed that on standard gearing you guys can out run a BSB rider though. That's some serious talent.

I really wish it was a hoax, humberside police also use a helicopter to target motorcyclists. It has got quite dangerous looking around for the hidden areas they hide even when obeying the speed limit. They have an unmarked hayabusa that has cleverly goded bikes to ride faster and then radios through to the marked bike. You need to visit the area to understand how the police have become mentally obsessed about motorcyclists.

No one claimed anything of the sort LoonR1,it's a road bike with an element of inaccuracy,I think everyone accepts that and takes speedo readings with a pinch of salt especially at around those speeds. It's a shame you and your attitude are so prominent on here but you clearly have little else to do,25000+ posts holy st get a life!

North Wales used a horse box a few years ago, and a camera van in Derbyshire was painted up as a blue "builders van". I don't see why a tractor wouldn't be used.

It will be interesting to see the polices responce to this,i very much doubt they will admit they are doing it as it blows there stealth mission, the fact a senior person has admitted he's ok with it says it all for most open minded public, after all they have earlier this year used used an unmarked hgv tractor unit,i fear with dwindling resources they will operate these underhand tactics more, its purely to pull in revenue in my opinion, ive waited an hour for a traffic car to attend a fairly serious accident and then an hour later passed 3 marked police bikes and an unmarked bike on the same stretch of road going out to catch revenue, made my blood boil.Four individual officers and vehicles looking for bikes and yet no one in a car to attend an actual crash, its become a business that needs to self finance in my opinion!
