Kawasaki KDX125 - My first bike, I had to sell it to pay for an engine rebuild for the RGV.

Suzuki RGV250 - This was my first bike after passing my test.

Honda CRM250 - This is the bike I probably use the most. Over the 6 years I have owned it, I don't think there is a part of the bike I haven't rebuilt.

Honda CBR400 - I bought this a couple of years ago, at a ridiculously low price. It looks mint and the guy sold it for half what he had spent on it.

Laverda 750S Formula - Its only done 4k KM and looks brand new.

Suzuki GSXR400 - I got this a few weeks back. The previous owner had rebuilt it, but lost his job before he could finish it. The bike looks like it only just left the factory, and probably better finished.

I still own all these bikes, except for the KDX. I wish I had kept it, it was a lovely clean bike, not the normal abused 125 you get. I sold it to a guy who had just joined the forces and wanted something to tide him over for 2 months until he went away. He paid me the asking price and I left him and his mate trying to pull wheelie's around the Sainsbury's car park. I would be surprised if the bike made it the 2 months.
Update.

The RGV and GSXR have both gone.

Aprilia Futura- I bought this to do a bit of touring on. I had it for about 2 years, but after a couple of breakdowns, I lost confidence in it, so it was sold on.

KTM 640 Adventure- Been and gone. I did ride it down to the Pyrenees with the intention of some off roading, but these aren't great for lots of road riding.

Suzuki RG125- Bought it in boxes during the 1st lock down and is currently about 50% back together.

Yamaha TZR250- Bought as a partially restored bike. Had to repair some power valve issues and have fitted a Zeeltronic.

KTM 990 adventure- I got this to replace the the Aprillia and really enjoying it. Did a couple of UK trips last year, hoping to get over to Europe in 2023.

CB400SF (1996) - first bike after doing direct access at 30, owned 2009 to 2011. It was an ok first bike, but couldn't get the thing over 70mph. 3 months in I discovered it had a restrictor kit fitted. With plates removed from the throttle bodies, I could still barely get over 80. Parts and online advice hard to find, being a grey import, but well built.

ZZR600 (2004) -owned 2011 to 2018 - a fantastic bike for what it was, did 50k commuting on it: comfy and fast, though not particularly sharp. But it was baggy and unreliable at the end, so sold it for £100 to a bike dismantler.

Street triple (2012) - owned 2018 to 2022 - good handling and rorty, but missed the fairing, and pre facelift fuel economy of 38mpg annoyed me. Quality no better than kawasaki, with same amount of niggles. I never gelled with it, and it was nicked, which avoided me having to decide whether to sell it or not

Cbr900rr (1999) 2022-? Impulse buy. Only had it a couple of months and used about 5 times. Has way more capability than me, so am waiting for better weather to really explore it. Not as comfy as the zzr600, but handling is sharper than the street triple, and does about 45mpg so far.

Did you like the old RSV Milles? They are cheap and plentiful here in Germany and I love a bargain superbike!

My memories are from 20 years ago which like anything are probably far better than realty if I rode again Vs my modern Aprilia's

The black mille was my favourite. Eprom chip, blue flame I think exhaust, pc3 and geared slightly shorter. Would pull 158mph I remember that much and at the time gave me a bigger smile than any bike I'd previously owned (R6s & an R1)

Made about 117hp wasn't particularly quick even back then but felt special

I'm sure if I rode one now some of those great memories would disappear. I'd have another if I had the space but I can't get 10+ bikes in my garage comfortably
